Beautiful venue with great support
We had a great experience at WHS. The building itself is beautiful inside and out (I may be a little biased, because I have loved this building since I first set foot in it as a pre-teen- it was an added bonus to learn that they recently started doing weddings here!). The event coordinator, Craig, is very knowledgeable and experienced, and went out of his way to help us with any detail he could. He was extremely responsive to emails and is willing to work with us to accomplish our wedding vision. We originally wanted to have the ceremony outside by the front columns, but it ended up being over 90 degrees out with insane humidity so we moved the ceremony inside. No problem- Craig made things work either way. It was great to have multiple options, bother indoor and outdoor, for ceremony and reception sites. Craig was always willing to offer his advice and knowledge which was a huge relief to us, given that we had never planned a wedding before! I cannot recommend the Wisconsin Historical Society enough. My husband and I recently got married at the historical society and the day was absolutely magical. Much of the day's success can be credited to the amazing coordinator at the historical society, Craig Jacobsen. Craig attended to our every need, whether it was finding parking for our elderly guests, organizing the stage and even helping to construct our chuppah. The location itself is beautiful and I would highly recommend this location if you are looking for a church feel outside of a church for your ceremony. The building has many areas to take pictures and is easily accessed by guests. I highly recommend this location as I believe it was many of our guests favorite part of the day thanks much in part to all of Craig's hospitality and service.Sent on 10/27/2016

Beautiful, unusual location for a wedding and Craig, the event coordinator, was amazing! He was quick to respond to any questions and incredibly helpful on site!
