WeatherLea Farm & Vineyard is a boutique seasonal venue situated around 50 miles from Washington D.C in Lovettsville, Virginia, where couples will enjoy being near many of the local wineries and breweries, hiking trails and rivers that they can explore before or after their wedding. Pamela Baldwin, owner of the farm and vineyard, is excited to host couples for their ceremonies and receptions. Here at the 19th-century barn, couples will get to experience the blend of rustic and elegant touches while receiving attentive and personal service. The WeatherLea wedding season extends from early May through late October.
Facilities and Capacity
While most couples choose to exchange their vows outdoors at WeatherLea Farm & Vineyard, couples have the option (and rainy-day alternative) to hold their ceremony inside the barn, which features a dance floor and twinkling lights. This 19th-century rustic barn is also perfect for hosting receptions. It is amply wired for DJs and bands and provides good preparation space for caterers. Outdoor ceremony settings include a garden, gazebo, pond, bridge, and more, overlooking the vineyard and pond and bucolic scenes of sheep, llamas and horses grazing on the pastures. You are welcome to invite up to 150 of your friends and family for your wedding here. Also, couples and guests are welcome to take advantage of the cozy and charming “farmstay” cottages on property. The 1-bedroom Milk Cottage is typically used by the groom and groomsmen before the ceremony, while the 3-bedroom Shepherd’s Cottage is used by the bride and her party as they dress and work with hair and makeup specialists. Both cottages have internet connections, and there is ample onsite parking.
At the WeatherLea Farm & Vineyard, you and your wedding party will have the property to yourselves for your entire wedding weekend. The team will take care of all the details like chairs and tables.

Gorgeous property! The barn is so unique and you have a beautiful view of the vineyard from the ceremony location. Pamela and Malcolm work very hard to execute the events they host and they are an absolute pleasure to work with! WeatherLea Farm is a must-see!Sent on 08/10/2015

Hosting our wedding at WeatherLea was one of the first--and best--decisions that we made for our wedding. Working with Pamela, one of the owners of WeatherLea, was seamless. She provided us with a well curated list of vendors that made the planning process easier, and we also had the flexibility to pick our own vendors, which really helped us manage our budget. Since our wedding (141 guests) was on the larger end of what they normally host, she was incredibly helpful and flexible--even a couple of days before the wedding--in setting up the reception space (an antique barn that had a cool loft space and beautiful lighting already set up) so everyone was still comfortable and had room to eat, dance, and mingle. The grounds are expansive, stunning, and wonderfully maintained (they have a small lake, vineyard, rock garden, two fully outfitted cottages for getting ready on the premises, the barn, and llamas and sheep that were a big hit with our guests)--even better and more beautiful than what we'd envisioned for our wedding. We loved working with Pamela and her husband, Malcolm, and their support, focus, and organization throughout the planning process made the day of so easy, relaxed, and fun for us. Would highly recommend WeatherLea without reservations, especially if you're planning a wedding on the smaller end (i.e., less than 125 guests).Sent on 10/21/2017

What a dream come true! Malcolm and Pamela were the most wonderful hosts. Our wedding was very DIY, and Weatherlea was the only venue we even considered because we could bring in our own vendors -- catering, flowers, lighting. We were able to arrive early in the week to set up and decorate, and we made use of both cottages over the weekend for my husband and I and some members of our wedding party to stay on the property. The grounds are just magnificent -- the perfect place for a barn wedding.Sent on 10/17/2016
