Beautiful Penthouse reception and amazing staff!
We held our wedding reception at the Victoria of Rosemont, which is a gorgeous penthouse at the top of Edward Hotel. The space is beautiful with large windows, a massive dance floor, 2 bars, and a great walled area for the head/sweetheart table. Victoria was really easy to work with from start to finish and helped make our reception run without any issues! We worked with Monica for the initial tour and details, then Jennifer took over as our main day planner. Jennifer was so great. She truly made us feel special and gave us full confidence that everything would be set up the way we wanted for the reception. She even took extra pictures of our space and decorations and sent them to me after the wedding. My only complaint (and in the end it really doesn’t bother me much because our top priorities were booze, dancing, and ambiance) would be the catering process. Victoria does group tasting events, which are really fun and you can bring friends/family, but they didn’t have several of the food items listed on their catering list and some of the food at the tasting was only available at their other venues. So we had a very short list of things we tasted to choose from. On the day of, the appetizers and most of the food was so incredible. Bottom line, Victoria has amazing prices for what they offer and we felt so satisfied with out wedding. Our guests loved the food, the space, and the ambiance. Victoria of Rosemont provided us with an amazing wedding reception! From the initial planning to the day of, the entire staff was incredible. Jennifer Tomassetti was the best and so helpful to work with getting all the details set, Julie Ryan did an amazing job setting up and running things the day of, and General manager Jim did a great job of checking with us to make sure everything was going well throughout the evening. Our guests raved about the food (we had the Mexican menu: chips & guacamole, tamales, arroz con pollo, steak fajitas, and toasted coconut ice cream served family style). The prices were very reasonable compared to other places we looked. They really include a lot for your money (open bar included!!!). The room was spacious and pretty and had a great view (penthouse floor). I like that we were the only event there. Plus having the reception in a hotel worked out perfect for our numerous out of town guest. My hotel liaison Coco Obecny was also helpful. These are guys are fantastic and I would not have chosen any other venue for my reception. I used to be a mobile a DJ for weddings for 6 years so I have seen my fair share of banquet halls. Victoria was always my favorite best decorated, best staff, and absolute best food. Now that I have had my own wedding there I can safely say they are still the best and would not have changed a single thing. Jennifer Tomassetti helped us plan everything for our reception and she did an absolutely incredible job and answered all of our endless questions and always had a smile while helping us. She is simply put the best. And if you are debating about Victoria for your wedding, stop the debate and just pick Victoria. You won't be disappointed.Sent on 07/24/2017
