The Tidewater House is an historic 1874 Colonial Revival Mansion located in the heart of downtown Easton, Maryland. The owners of the Tidewater Inn purchased the Mansion in 2019 and it has become the perfect complement to the wedding venues that are located at the Inn location, just 2 blocks away. This beautiful Victorian-era estate is ideal for those that wish to celebrate their special day surrounded by historic elegance and unique architectural features with 11 foot ceilings, hand-carved wooden mantel and staircase and a foyer featuring a 7 foot mahogany mirror. Photo opportunites abound on the welcoming front porch and around the charming town, Complete with two distinct event spaces, The Carriage House, and The Parlor, it can easily serve as the setting for both your ceremony and reception. Personalized service and luxury accommodations offer guests a wonderful, intimate space to spend their wedding weekend.
Facilities and Capacity
You can begin your experience at Tidewater House by getting ready with you and your girls in one of the mansion’s luxurious guest suites. These stunning rooms promise an abundance of space in which you can dress and prepare for your special day. You can choose either an indoor or outdoor ceremony, thanks to the lush manicured grounds of the House. The Carriage House creates a perfect venue for your intimate wedding dinner for up to 50 guests, with its peaked ceilings and beautiful tiled floor and rustic chandeliers. Or, you can say, “I do” in front of the stone fireplace in the Carriage House, followed by a cocktail reception on the porch, as the Parlor, located inside the Tidewater House, is readied for your main meal. The Parlor has a classic dining room set up, complete with polished blonde wood flooring, a beautiful chandelier and marble-topped tables. This space can seat up to 32 guests, where they will enjoy an evening of dining, drinks, and toasting to celebrate your special day. There is a built- in modern bar with soft seating throughout the Lounge, Atrium and Library, with plenty of cozy nooks for conversation.

Tidewater House aims to offer all couples that wish to celebrate at the property a full-service experience. Included in your wedding package is a personal on-site event coordinator and team of events staff with full catering and bar services. You can collaborate with the talented kitchen staff at this location to design a menu that fits your specific taste. Expert bar specialists can create custom cocktails for your reception, as well as serve your guest premium beers, wine, and liquor. Flatware, glassware, linens, and china are also provided. In addition to the five guest suites located in Tidewater House, your attendees can find lodgings in the Tidewater Inn, located on the same street, 2 blocks away.
My husband and I got married at the Tidewater Inn in October of 2020. We had the reception at the Inn, but our family rented out the Tidewater House. The House was one of the main reasons we choose this venue. It was so charming and nice that we could rent out each room and have the place to ourselves, with the amenities of staying at an Inn. Also the French Suite is the most beautiful and perfect bridal suite. On the property is the newly built Carriage House, where we had a lovely Rehearsal dinner and utilized the patio for a cocktail hour, and had dinner with tables set up inside and out. It was intimate and the perfect venue for a rehearsal dinner. On the big day the ladies in the wedding party got ready at the House as well. It was nice being in a different location from the boys (across the street at the Inn). We had a brunch delivered and the mimosas were flowing. I wouldn't have changed a thing. Also a big plus to staying at the house is we had the most beautiful backdrop for wedding day photographs in the gardens. I would give the Tidewater House a 10 out of 10!

Intimate, but Beautiful
Our wedding in December of 2020 was smaller in size than we originally planned due to Covid, but the team at the Tidewater Inn was incredible! We quickly pivoted to using the much more intimate spaces at the Tidewater House, and it was a perfect day. The ceremony was in the Carriage House (in front of the cozy fire!) and then we had cocktail hour between the Carriage House and the Tidewater House, and we finished the evening with dinner in the Parlor at the Tidewater House. It was candlelit and romantic and beautiful, and it made us feel great about having such a small wedding. Even better - we all got to stay in the House, so it was super convenient, and we felt like VIPs!

Highly Recommend!
I cannot recommend the Tidewater Carriage House enough! We decided to do an intimate dinner in lieu of a large wedding and were so delighted with the offerings at the Carriage House. Sara was incredibly helpful with planning out all of the details and the day went perfectly smoothly. The food was wonderful (I still dream about the roasted pear butternut squash soup), the venue was beautiful and cozy and made our wedding celebration special. It was also very convenient to be able to get ready and then stay in the neighboring Tidewater House, which was stunning for photos!
If you are looking for a venue to accommodate a smaller scale celebration, I highly recommend the Carriage House!
