My husband and I were struggling to choose a venue, but when we walked into The Wheel, we had our hearts set. It’s an incredibly charming space with wagon wheel chandeliers lighting up the dance hall and a gorgeous outdoor pavilion that feels like it’s grown straight from the earth with elegant tree trunk columns. It is also centrally located between Austin and San Antonio, so our guests didn’t have to travel far, even if they flew in. It’s a straight shot from New Braunfels, so they all had easy access to hotels there, or the myriad of short term rentals nearby in Canyon Lake (some are right across the street).

Once we decided on the space, The Wheel’s team connected us with a photographer (Marisa Vasquez who’s photos are attached to this review), florist, and catering service, all of which were fantastic and went beyond our expectations. Between the rustic beauty of the space and the accommodating and communicative management, we can’t imagine a better experience.

My husband and I had so much fun celebrating and dancing at The Wheel with our friends and family that we weren’t ready to go home at the time that our rental period ended. We asked the owner if we could get extra time, and they welcomed us and our entire party to stay as long as we liked. They were happy to have us and even helped us set up karaoke on stage which was the most surprising, memorable, fun, and hilarious feature of our wedding. I’ll never forget all of my husband’s closest friends passionately singing “Gravity” by John Mayer with giant smiles on their faces and my two year old nephew’s adorable rendition of Coldplay’s “A Sky Full of Stars”. We sang and danced the night away until we could barely keep our eyes open. Then we rode to our hotel with full and happy hearts in one of The Wheel’s classic getaway cars. We are so happy we chose to celebrate at The Wheel and can’t recommend it highly enough.

The Wheel staff were fantastic to communicate with and wonderfully accommodating. They made it easy for our DJ and caterers to set up as early as they needed to beforehand. The space was a beautiful place to take pictures at as well. If you’re looking for a gorgeous, rustic venue, the Wheel is perfect! We were proud to have been able to celebrate our wedding day here.
