Facilities and Capacity
The Storyteller’s Cottage offers six rooms for you to book, as well as the option to rent out the entire house for your special event. The Jules Verne Steampunk Library is the largest space in the house, as it seats up to 15 people in its Victorian steampunk-style room. The Jane Austen Regency Salon, where you will feel like a character out of one of your favorite novels, seats up to 12 guests. The English Country Kitchen and Secret Medieval Castle Keep have very different atmospheres but both seat eight. Book the Fairytale Tea Room, which seats nine, for an elegant Alice In Wonderland-themed event. The Magical Common Room is the most intimate with seating for six. Whichever rooms you choose to hold your event, your guests will be astounded by the feeling of being immersed in their favorite book.

Built in 1896, The Storyteller’s Cottage was originally a home for Connecticut State Senator and owner Alexander Thomas Pattison. After years of running the Wilcox General Store, which was later renamed Pattinson General Store, Pattinson died in 1931 and was buried across the street from his home.
