Nestled in the heart of historic downtown Lockport. The Loft at Public Landing is an enchanting venue that exudes timeless elegance and sultry charm. Housed within the historic Italianate limestone Gaylord Building, a National Trust Historic Site dating back to 1838, this alluring space blends rustic sophistication with modern elegance. Imagine stepping into a world where exposed limestone walls whisper tales of the past, while soft, ambient lighting casts a warm, intimate glow across rich hardwood beams.

The Loft, accommodating up to 160 guests, is a vision of refined romance, with two distinct, exquisitely appointed rooms that can be tailored to your desires. High ceilings adorned large metal globed Edison lights, create a dream canopy, perfect for stolen glances and heartfelt moments. For those craving an al fresco affair, our screened in veranda overlooking the venue’s meticulously manicured outdoor courtyard beckons with its lush seasonal blooms and breathtaking views of the historic I&M Canal and Lincoln Landing Park—a seductive backdrop for ceremonies or cocktail hours under the stars.

Indulge in the tantalizing flavors of classic American cuisine, crafted with passion and served with impeccable style. From handcrafted cocktails to decadent desserts, every detail is designed to ignite the senses. The Public Landing’s dedicated team, led by the charismatic event coordinator Dana, ensures every moment unfolds seamlessly, leaving you free to bask in the joy of the occasion.

Whether it’s a sultry wedding reception, an intimate private dinner, or a lavish celebration, the Loft at Public Landing is where history meets desire, creating an unforgettable experience that lingers long after the night fades.

Beautiful Reception!!

The Public Landing was perfect for our small, simple wedding reception! The event coordinator, Dana, is absolutely amazing. She made sure that everything was perfect and the way that we envisioned our special day. Our reception could not have been more perfect!

Amazing Venue!

My husband and I got married at Public Landing and it was easily the best decision we’ve ever made. Everything was beautiful from start to finish. Dana was so helpful through the whole process and was there for us the entire night whenever we needed anything. Our guests were complementing us throughout the night on how great everything was. Our day could not have been any more perfect. I would easily recommend Public Landing to anyone! Thanks, Dana for making our night so memorable!

Great Venue

We held both our ceremony and reception at the Public Landing. Dana and the rest of the staff were fantastic, and so easy to work with!

Lockport has been putting a lot of effort into downtown area, including rotating art installations, so we got some bonus lights and lanterns alongside Lincoln Landing. We did have not one, but two trains run past during the ceremony, but it turned out to be good comedic relief!

The event space is gorgeous. We had a little over 100 guests, and they fit the space perfectly. I was a little worried the dance floor was going to be too small - it's long and narrow - but it was fine. There was an event in the museum/gallery space of the Gaylord Building that night. I walked out of the reception to grab something from the bridal suite and a bunch of strangers turned to look at me, which was a little weird, but we didn't end up with wedding crashers or anything (not that Dana would have let anyone get away with even thinking about it!).

Food was amazing! I mean, just look at this amazing cake of cheese Dana and Chef Jeff pulled off! My husband was beyond thrilled with it.

All in all, we are so pleased we chose the Public Landing for our wedding!!
