I was the Event Planner and Decorator for a dance held at this venue. It was a large event with dinner, dancing and elaborate theme decor. The hall is a great size and can easily be transformed into any style or theme imaginable. The possibilities are endless. Chris and the entire staff at the venue ensured that all of our needs were met. They were really flexible as far as set up, tear down and use of additional areas for staging decor and behind the scenes needs. Great central Akron location. Easy access to freeways from Cleveland and Canton.
I work with many venues for weddings, galas and events all over Akron and this one definitely has a lot to offer. I recommend checking it out.

Chris, the Event Coordinator at the reception hall, was extremely helpful and friendly and hospitable. She is passionate about seeing her client's wedding dreams come to life. Down to every last detail. Her creativity was a great strength when it came down to deciding on the right lighting, ideas for decorating the entrance to the hall, and suggesting things we hadn't thought of before. The reception was like a dream come true. Everything ran so smoothly! The food was delicious! The cooks were aware of any food allergies and were sure to accommodate as needed. The table settings were beautiful. We are so happy we chose The Greek Community for our reception and will recommend it to anyone looking for a good experience and someone they can trust. -Kristen & Aaron

We had a fabulous cocktail hour and wedding reception, thanks to Chris Archer and her amazing staff! The food was delicious, and so reasonably priced. Her experience and attention to detail were so important to the comfort and the enjoyment of our families and guests! The building may not look like much from the outside, but with their beautiful twinkle lights on the ceiling, up-lighting on the walls (included!!), door decorations, and other gorgeous decor, the venue transforms! We were so impressed with every detail of our reception - and Chris even went the extra mile to include a surprise mini s'mores bar to make my dad's day! We were all thrilled with the service we received. Thank you so much for everything you did to make our day so special! We are all so grateful!
