Built in 1899, The Gingerbread House is an excellent example of Steamboat Gothic architecture. It is known for the gingerbread arches that are featured predominantly on the exterior of the building. It is one of the most famous homes in the Historic District of Savannah, Georgia. People come from across the country to host events at this picturesque event venue.
Today, The Gingerbread House can be reserved two ways:
- As a private event venue through our Event Sales Team for private events of 50 or less guests. Full Weekend Rentals start at $5,000 and include all tables and chairs for events of 50 guests.
- As a vacation rental through Lucky Savannah Vacation Rentals for overnight stays. It sleeps up to 10 guests with its own upstairs living, sleeping and dining spaces.

Fantastic Wedding Venue!
The venue manager Ann was really nice, accommodating, and replied fast to any inquiries; unfortunately, I didn't get to meet her in person due to an emergency but she made sure that we had everything we needed for our event. The bar staff was fantastic as well. I highly recommend The Gingerbread House, it's the perfect venue!

Renee moved to the Savannah from the mid-Atlantic states. She has lived in PA, NY, VA, OH, MD and WV. Renee left a busy life as a high school theatre director to move to Georgia so that she can see her granddaughter, Emma, every day.
Her professional life was spent in the classroom as an English teacher then a theatre instructor and director for a total of 25 years of service to public and private middle and high school students.
