Based in Austin, Texas, The Carl Institute Jazz Band provides live wedding entertainment.

We can come in many combinations of musicians, which frequently include trumpet, saxophone, and lovely female vocalists, as well as the requisite guitar, bass, and drums.

We have played dozens of shows, including weddings, birthday parties, and corporate events. We play a wide range of classic jazz standards, from classic swing, modal jazz, bossa nova, and beyond. We also take requests! Just tell us your favorite song (jazz or otherwise), and we will make it perfect for your special occasion.

We always come dressed to impress.

Beautiful, Professional, Accommodating, and truly talented

The band was so accommodating coming from a different state, hauling all of their own gear and all. We did not have to provide anything except a space and electricity. They helped curate a play list of all our favorite songs., willing to cover anything we could think of in a wide range of genres. They showed up timely and professionally ready to rock. In the chaos of the actual day sometimes thing don't go as planned and they were willing to work with us and accommodate anything we asked of them with ease. There was no shortage of talent, dancing, and pure joy the entire time. If you have to option to choose DJ or this live band.... chose them EVERY TIME. You won't regret it.
