Sweet Crumb Company was born in 2018 after the family birthday cakes began to attract attention. Not just a creative hobby anymore, Alexis WIlson, owner and operator of Sweet Crumb, has turned her love of baking into a full time operation with offerings ranging from local farmers market treats to weddings and events.
Hi! Alexis here. Thank you for checking out Sweet Crumb. Here's a little about how it all got started. My baking journey began with the decision to attend culinary school. I remember staring into the bakery kitchen window, wishing I had enrolled in more of those classes. Already half way through my degree, I stuck with the original plan and earned an Associates in Culinary Science. Over the next few years a wide variety of career oppotunities added to my list of experience including managing a coffee house, upscale catering, farm to table dining, and managing a residential university dining location and catering operation. And then, there were babies. Three of them. So, I took a break from clocking in and a different kind of work began. You know, moms and dads out there, the work that never seems to end. To add to it, nap-times and bedtimes found me in the kitchen with the flour out and the oven on. Thanks to the three little ones and their birthday cakes, I got a second chance to try out what caught my interest in the window of those baking classes. A chance to become a small part of some of the best moments in your life with memories you can taste. Live Sweet!
