Summit Events Hall is a wedding venue in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The event hall was originally built as a single family home for the Sherman family in 1903. It was designed by a well-known designer of private homes, Wallace Dow. The Knights of Columbus purchased the home in 1941 and added the event space in 1947. The Knights owned and operated the home until 2015 when it was reopened as Summit Events Hall. Owners Ryan and Jane have combined experience in business management and design. They love working with brides to make dream come true. They are located in the historic Cathedral District just blocks from downtown Sioux Falls.
Facilities and Capacity
Summit Events Hall has indoor and outdoor space to host your wedding events. The event hall can accommodate 220 guests. The Great Rooms is pub/game room and formal living room that can be combined to store wedding gifts, a photo booth or used as additional hang out space for guests. The Summit Suite is 1,200 square feet and sleeps eight guests. It features a full kitchen, vintage claw-foot bathtub, living room, two bedrooms, and bunk beds. It is a great space for a bridal suite, honeymoon suite, bachelorette party, or a private space for young families during the reception. Their is an outdoor space that can be used for wedding events, games and more.
Summit Events Hall can host your bridal shower, engagement party, ceremony and reception. They offer lighting, sound, event rentals, and set up and clean. Each event comes with set up and clean up of tables, chairs and linens. Their additional items include audio equipment, dance floor, drapery, cloth napkins, place settings, projector, video slideshow and more. They allow catering and vendors of your choice. They have an in-house bar that can be managed by their professional bartenders. Summit Events Halls offers a variety of packages that can be customized to meet all your needs. Their events director works with you to plan your special day. They can accommodate special requests, make suggestions, and help choose a function layout for your venue choice. The day of your wedding you will have an on-site manager to ensure everything runs smoothly.

Wedding reception venue
This is an absolutely gorgeous space for any and all events! Our wedding reception was held here and it was wonderful! The whole space gives off a very historic, antique vibe. We got so many compliments on the space from all of our guests. We could not have asked for a better spot to celebrate our marriage. Ryan was very helpful through the whole process and was always there if we needed him. He was very helpful the day of the wedding as well. Summit Events Hall was the perfect place to have our wedding ceremony and reception! The venue is absolutely gorgeous. We loved it, and our guests enjoyed it as well - we received so many compliments. Ryan was fantastic to work with - super patient and so incredibly helpful! Thank you!
The Summit Suite was also a great addition. Super roomy and clean - was a great spot for us to stay!

There are so many AMAZING things I could say about this venue.
Ryan is amazing to work with. He made the whole process really easy! From booking to the end of the night, he was in contact with us. He worked with us to create a floor plan that worked with 220 guests! He made sure the wine and beer we wanted was there. All the tables and chairs were set up and ready to go just like he said they would be. We also rented the apartment above. Everything was clean and fresh. It was the perfect space for the whole bridal party to get ready and neither party to be seen until they had to be. I will recommend Summit Events Hall to everyone! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!
