The Serendipitous team is lead by Abby Winters, owner and certified event planner. Known for her candor, her sense of humor, and calm demeanor, Abby is the perfect wedding planner for a person looking to have fun while planning their wedding. With an interior design background, she is able to combine her creativity and organizational skills with her love for special events. She brings a perfectionist's eye to each detail to ensure everything is done exactly as it should be.
Our goal is to make each event a finely curated, streamlined, and well-organized experience for you and your guests. It is our job to create the overall vision, determine the aesthetic, and manage the vendors responsible for implementing that vision. In this analogy, a wedding planner would be the general contractor, focusing on logistics such as transportation and catering. As a designer, we often work alongside wedding planners, managing details, flowers, layout etc. Our design service process starts with a personal consultation to collect inspiration for the wedding day vision. We will then create a custom design concept, that may include a color palette, linens swatches, stationery suggestions, floral design, cake inspirations, and many other details. Our team of vendors will perform all decor setup and breakdown to ensure that our wedding day vision is brought to life.
Our philosophy is that great weddings embrace collaboration, and we are dedicated to guiding our couples through each step of planning and design to create a seamless process. We plan all your details according to your vision from start to finish and create an event design personally tailored to the personality and look you wish. We will work closely with our trusted and talented vendors to bring your vision to life by orchestrating all design and logistical elements throughout the entire planning process. We pride ourselves in our attention to detail, creativity, and a little bit of fun along the way.
Our Virtual Wedding Planner suite is our new, affordable alternative to your traditional wedding planner. This consulting service caters to couples who want to plan their own wedding but may need professional direction, advice and assistance with choosing and hiring vendors throughout their wedding planning journey. Our couples receive one-on-one guidance and access to a wealth of helpful information, all done online, email, phone, or text. The beauty of our consulting service is that we assist you at a fraction of the cost it would be to hire a full service wedding planner & designer.

Choosing Serendipitous Event Planning with Abby as our wedding planner was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Abby had a list of recommended vendors for every aspect of the wedding, and we were very satisfied with the choices we made from that list. When we chose a vendor outside of her recommended list, Abby was willing to accommodate and develop a good working relationship to allow us to customize our wedding experience.
Abby went above and beyond and even created a Design Presentation Board with visual suggestions for our flowers, invitations, cake, etc. to fit in with a unified theme. She came with us to our cake tasting and floral appointments, offering invaluable advice that helped us make the best decisions.
On the day of the wedding, Abby was there every step of the way. She made sure everything started on time, and all the vendors knew where to go. While we were taking pictures during the cocktail hour, she brought appetizers and drinks for the wedding party to keep us going. During the reception, she made sure the bride and groom were well fed and even brought us drinks throughout the reception.
We even had a few wedding crashers. She immediately spotted them and kicked them out – what an amazing planner! Overall, we cannot be happier that we chose Abby. She made our wedding day absolutely perfect!

1. My wedding was an outdoor, ranch setting, about 68 miles outside of Houston. They contacted and organized the perfect vendors to travel to the wedding site. The ladies came to the site multiple times to perfect the layout. The ranch we got married at, was literally a blank canvas that they turned into every Texas-country girl's dream. The tenting--perfect. The table decorations-- perfect. The FOOD TRUCKS--perfect! The ladies never hesitated to make the trip out to the ranch to plan and prepare.
2. My own bridezilla moments were quickly resolved by them. "We got it taken care of girl!" During my stressed out and anxious days and weekends, a call/text/email to them settled my nerves. "We will handle it." "No problem." "Do not worry about it!" "Already taken care of it." " I want to make you happy". The ladies were very ORGANIZED and PROFESSIONAL and a wonderful calming and encouraging voice to me during my bridezilla moments!
3. Budget- The ladies handled all my vendor negotiations calmly and politely. These ladies have amazing fellow vendors who worked with me, my mother, my budget, my needs and wants. When I was freaking out about prices, Abby told me, "I know you want the best deal out there, and Dana, YOU HAVE IT! Trust me. I would let you know if you aren't". Now that is something a true friend would say!
These ladies are the real deal. God blessed me by putting them in my life to help me plan the Best Day Ever!
