Since we were planning our Nashville wedding from Salt Lake City, it was really important for us to find a venue that would be as inclusive as possible. So we decided to have a hotel wedding. We decided to go with the Radisson because they gave us the opportunity to do a tasting of their menu before we booked them. The other hotels, didn't offer us that convenience, which was really unfortunate because we weren't going to be back in Nashville until the next year.Sent on 10/10/2015
Katie was the event coordinator. I must have sent her a dozen emails, and she replied to all of them. She also met with our wedding coordinator and let us do a walk through of the venue so that we could get an idea of how everything would be set up.
During the week of the wedding, Katie informed us that she would not be present, Elaine would take over instead. My husband and I were surprised. Up until then, we thought Katie would be there for the main event. There were a few logistical things that I believe got lost in translation. The few kids that attended were supposed to get chicken tenders, but I don't think that happened and the cocktail hour became really chaotic and crowded. Guests could get there food, but there wasn't a designated are for them to go and eat the food while the ballroom was being setup for the reception. Nevertheless, the reception went well and Elaine was awesome!
Elaine made sure that the food we didn't finish was boxed up. She found a cute dish to hold our flower shaped butter. She also came up with this really creative way of using 2 takeout boxes and cling wrap to box up the top layer of our cake.
The hotel was also great about letting us use their main lobby to take photos. We moved a few things around, so that we could get great photos inside the hotel.
Our wedding package included 10 blocks of rooms offered at a discount for 2 nights, an event coordinator, tables, chairs, chair covers, vases and mirrors for centerpieces, catering, and a honeymoon suite
