Short: amazing H&MU artists, great products and results, the best stylists in Tulum/Yucatan for any bride and her party!! I would give Prep 5,000 stars if I could :)

I got married in Isla Holbox, MX and was so so so lucky to have found Prep via Instagram! I spent a long time finding the right H&MU artists because I knew if H&MU were on point I would relax more on my wedding day :) I could only achieve this if I found the BEST stylists in Tulum (and frankly ever). I ended up booking a trial run with Prep, because I'm just that type of person where I want to establish a rapport and I feel totally comfortable on my wedding day. The trial run gave us time to play around with a few different styles and Chelsea was able to give me several tips for better hair a month before my wedding. I would highly recommend all brides to do a trial run if you can. But I will say it wasn't totally necessary since Prep definitely has the expertise to pull off any vision you have on first-go. Since I got married in Holbox I had to pay the travel fees for the girls to come from Tulum, which I found totally fair since it's quite a travel day to get to the island.

After doing the trial run I kinda knew I wanted to have the girls do my H&MU for my welcome reception which was the day before my wedding as well as on the wedding day. I just wanted those two days to be easy breezy for me. I NEVER do anything special with my hair and don't really even know how to do my makeup properly so having the girls do both days was perfect for me! Chelsea did my hair and Bailey did my makeup. They're both exceptionally amazing at what they do and made me feel so beautiful both days of my wedding events. I should also add that Chelsea had added some extensions to my hair to make it fuller when we did the trial run (another reason to do the trial). Dealing with the Holbox humidity my hair tends to look thin at times and we both thought I'd feel better with a little more volume - and she was RIGHT! My MU was perfect too. I wanted a natural look with a pop of color on the lips. Bailey really did a beautiful job!

Bottom line is hiring H&MU artists for a wedding in Tulum or Isla Holbox can feel expensive, but rest assured, Prep is going to deliver top quality and it's worth every cent. I found Prep Tulum while planning my wedding in San Jose del Cabo. Since I was from southern California, I wanted to find a makeup vendor that fit my style and knew I could trust on my wedding day. I coordinated everything with Brittany and loved the planning process. I had my makeup trial the week of my wedding when we arrived and Michelle did an amazing job!

The day of my wedding was perfect and Michelle made sure I looked more natural and exactly what I envisioned! The rest of the team did my bridesmaids and my mother/mother in law! Could not have had a better hair and makeup experience especially while doing a destination wedding!

I found Prep Tulum on WeddingWire and I'm so glad I did. After inquiring, Brittany reached out momentarily and she was one of my most communicative vendors. I also loved the vibe and style of their Instagram profiles and decided I needed to book Prep Tulum! I booked a hair trial at their salon in Tulum for my welcome party. Daiana and David are amazing! Not only are they extremely talented - they were so much fun to talk to and hang out with two days in a row. On the day of my wedding, they came to the resort and also did hair and makeup for my mom, sister and 2 friends. Everyone looked FABULOUS! I also paid for them to stay around for touchups and I'm SO glad I did. Luckily it did NOT rain on my wedding day but it was extremely humid and of course, I wanted to wear my hair down. After the first look, I snuck back to the spa and they fixed up my hair and makeup. I am so glad they did or I would have looked like a hot mess at my ceremony. Diana and David were such a delight to work with and I'm so glad I decided to go with Prep Tulum!
