Angela Emig is the creative mind behind Poppy & Clover Floral Design and has been enchanted with flowers from a young age. She loves their crisp, sweet scent, how deceptively fragile they appear and the countless ways you can combine them perfectly. She spent her childhood running around her mother's garden or in the forbidden farm land that surrounded her house and enjoyed nothing more than picking wildflower bouquets and bringing them home to her family. This passion for flowers followed Angela into adulthood, which eventually lead her to a career in floral design.
Angela attended Truman State University and earned a Bachelor's of Arts in Spanish with minors in Art History and International Studies. While at Truman, she became smitten with a boy and soon fell in love. Given her obsession with all things floral, it was never a question that she'd arrange the flowers for her own wedding and during those busy days leading up to the event, she enjoyed nothing more than trimming, wrapping and arranging flowers into the wee hours of the night. It was then that Angela realized she was meant to "play flowers" fo rthe rest of her life!
In 2008, Angela partnered with the lovely Bridget Kelly of Ornamental Petal and the two worked hand in hand for two lovely years. In early 2011, Angela was sad to see her best flower bud (pun intended) move to the West Coast, but she took it as a great opportunity to branch out and start her own flower business - Poppy & Clover Floral Design - of course!
Angela feels blessed to work with flowers and to do what she loves on a daily basis. She approaches each flower with as much excitement as an enchanted youngster and is eagerly awaiting the opportunity to beautify your event!

Angela is such a creative florist and she makes the most beautiful arrangements! I basically gave her colors I loved and she exceeded my expectations! She created a Pinterest board for me to review with flowers she thought would go well, which really helped me visualized the textures of each different flower. My husband and I threw her a massive curveball by rescheduling our wedding three weeks in advance and she was so great to work with us to make our dream come true!! I highly recommend Angela for any floral needs!Sent on 02/02/2017

Angela is a genius. I have been dreaming about my wedding flowers since I was 15 and had my first job in a flower shop. When I met with Angela, she asked all the right questions and used her iPad to look up different types of stems to get an idea of what I liked and what I didn't like. She has such a vast knowledge of unique stems which helped me make my vision a reality. During the meeting, Angela was also really sensitive to our budget. She made suggestions to stay true to my vision, but also maintain my budget. After our meeting, Angela put together a Pinterest page specifically for my wedding which included images of all the stems we had agreed upon. This was nice because I knew for sure that we were both on the same page.Sent on 09/21/2016
As we got closer to the wedding day, I was getting so excited to see it all come together. I did a walk through of the venue about 45 minutes before guests started arriving. I was blown away. Everything was more beautiful than I had pictured. I had ordered one or two too many centerpieces so she took the flowers from them and used them to decorate the gift table, the champagne table, and the dessert table. She didn't have to do this, but took the time to make sure the whole venue looked impeccable. Strangers who were scoping out the venue during the afternoon even took their own pictures of Angela's work because of how beautiful it was. I'm obsessed with my bouquet and am sad that it can't last forever. Angela came back to the venue the next morning to clean up, which was so helpful so that I could send off my out of town guests.
I'm just absolutely thrilled with Angela at Poppy & Clover. I would recommend her to anyone for any event!
