Pixie & The Partygrass Boys is an edgy bluegrass band for a couple’s wedding day in the greater Salt Lake City, Utah, area. This band of five members combines high-energy cover songs with original content for a set list that is sure to please guests of all music tastes. Pixie & The Partygrass Boys have played their music all over the country for weddings, festivals, fundraisers, and more.
The five members of this band have been playing together since 2015 and have professional music experience individually before that time. Katia “Pixie” Racine plays the ukelele and performs vocals; Ben Weiss plays the mandolin and offers additional vocals; Andrew Nelson provides guitar music and vocals; Amanda B. Grapes similarly offers fiddle music and vocals; and Zach Downes plays the bass. In 2018 this band played a sold-out headlining show at The State Room. Other notable events featuring this group’s music have included benefits for ACLU Utah and Planned Parenthood Utah, Campout for the Cause, and many others.
This band features a total of five musicians, though they can perform for more intimate events as a smaller group. Pixie & The Partygrass Boys can play ceremony music, cocktail hour music, reception music, rehearsal dinner music, and music during breaks. They can perform vocals, instrumentals, or a combination of both.
