One of NYC"s most unique and in-demand groups, Nightingale Jazz Band brings to life the golden age of Jazz music and the Great American Songbook. Evoking the vibrancy and intimacy of vintage jazz, speakeasies, classic hollywood scores and Harlem ballrooms, the band provides the perfect backdrop for any type of event! Nightingale started when vocalist Nora and pianist Alex paired up with the idea to bring their colorful and original brand of retro jazz to events across the tri-state area. We have had the fortune of playing for some memorable events, from weddings in dignified establishments such as the Metropolitan Club and Carlyle Hotel to shows at the famed Manderlay Bar at the McKitrick Hotel and Lambs Club. Recently, we have had the great honor to play at the world famous and recently renovated Rainbow Room at the Top of Rockefeller Center.
For all types of events, Nightingale offers a variety of packages. For our 4-piece band featured on our videos, our prices start at $1,000. Some packages we offer include:

We were looking for a band for our wedding in the Philadelphia area that didn't feel like a typical "wedding band" - we listened to clips of a million different bands in the area and didn't click with any of them. Then we discovered the Nightingale Jazz Band and absolutely fell in love. We were thrilled when they agreed to travel from Brooklyn, and even created an arrangement for a Bob Dylan song we requested. Nora, the lead singer, was extremely accommodating and we had a great time chatting with her and planning the details of the event. Our guests absolutely raved about the band all night (and you know when your friends are all Instagramming videos of the band, it's a good sign). Best of all, they were so cool to let my dad (also a jazz musician) come in and play with them on a few songs, which gave the whole thing such a nice personal touch. Bottom line: If you like the videos on their website, you'll LOVE the Nightingale Band in person.Sent on 09/29/2018

I don't have enough wonderful words to capture how amazing it work with and enjoy the music of Nightingale! They were incredibly responsive and professional from the start. We had multiple portions to our wedding -- a parade with trumpeter, a cocktail with just a few instruments and then an outdoor jazz set with full band -- and each request was met with enthusiasm and collaboration on how best to make it all work. They played a jazz version of our special song for our first dance that was just amazing! I also had been thinking about singing with the band, but didn't want to decide until the day of, and they were incredibly flexible in accommodating my wishy-washiness and allowing me to make the call day-of (I ended up not singing). Nora's voice is incredible and all of the musicians outstanding. We are SO happy we found Nightingale and would very highly recommend you work with these amazing musicians!Sent on 08/12/2016

Nora, her keyboard and sax version of The Nightingale Jazz Band, played for our wedding reception. We are an older couple and decided to organize the whole thing ourselves.Sent on 07/29/2016
A lot of work for us.....except for hiring Nora and her band. The trio showed up and carried the tone of the evening much to the delight of all. We had little time to give her much direction except for suggesting a couple of tunes, and asking to somehow "carry" the room and evening and still have folks be to comfortably converse. They totally nailed it on all fronts. I have to say having such a capable band with such a gifted chanteuse is a +++ for any occasion.
Its was nice to hear from our guests how much they enjoyed our reception.....and "where did you get that band?"
