First off, this was the only food vendor we tasted cause that was all we needed. The tasting was DELICIOUS - and they did not skimp on the options. I think we got 3lbs of meat to try.

AND - the day of was amazing. My food dreams come true. The passed apps were noteworthy and the dinner had our guests going for seconds. People were commenting on how good our food was, which made me smile. I didn't think I would care if the food was enjoyable or not, I always assume at a wedding it will be mediocre - BUT not the case with MaxCity. I go there to eat for dinner post-wedding at their restaurant... THAT'S HOW GOOD!

Price wise: so reasonable. We paid about $25pp with passed apps, meal with two meat options, coffer service and table service.

We had Max City BBQ cater our wedding and it was one of the best decisions we made in planning our wedding.

First, food was AMAZING. Our guests keep saying that it was the best wedding food they've had in a long time and we couldn't agree more. Most people kept going back for seconds and thirds and the BBQ was the perfect fit for our summer wedding with a more casual vibe.

Second, Chynna, who was our point of contact throughout the whole process, was accommodating, responsive, and professional through and through. Also when we visited the Eagle Rock location for tasting, Mike was so helpful in answering our questions and even offered some tips in terms of planning the menu, based on their years of experience catering weddings.

Last and most certainly not least, the staff showed up and truly went ABOVE AND BEYOND. Our day-of coordinator and the venue staff were extremely pleased with the staff in how flexible and professional they were. As long as they were on site, they were more than willing to help with anything to make sure the event ran smoothly.

Working with Jason was so easy! The food was amazing! For our wedding we has brisket, BBQ chicken, cole slaw, baked beans, Mac and cheese, cucumber salad and corn bread. I would recommend max city bbq to anyone! Everyone was very professional.

Planning a wedding for up to 200 guests, we knew cost would be a big consideration for the catering. We already love BBQ, so when we found out the price per head could be below $30, we knew it'd be perfect. Max City gave us a free tasting where we got to try pretty much everything on the menu, which really helped narrow down our choices. Chynna put up with so many questions from us over a series of months, and was so accommodating to requests to add things along the way (like coffee and water service).

After looking at other options for staffing, we ended up hiring all of our bartenders through Max City as well. They were pros, and made the signature cocktails we picked, as well as servicing a full bar. The rest of the staff served the food and cleared plates with no disruption to the event. The staff also helped move chairs from the ceremony to reception, and helped our coordinator set the tables before guests arrived, which was a huge help.

And most importantly, the food is delicious! The mac and cheese and cucumber salad were our favorite side dishes. We had chicken, brisket and pulled pork, and I'd recommend them all. They did some final touches with a BBQ they brought on site, so everything tasted freshly made. Max City had already worked at our venue, so the setup and cleanup were pretty flawless. If you're hiring them for an unfamiliar venue, make sure you do a run-through to map out how the buffet lines will flow so you don't end up with guests waiting in line. Our guests are still raving about how good our wedding food was, which I think says all you need to know!

Max City BBQ catered our wedding a couple of weeks ago, and the rave reviews for the food don't stop! We are huge BBQ fans so there was no other choice for food, and we are so glad we found Max City. The prices are reasonable, and the food is absolutely delicious - I don't think there were any leftovers, and all the plates were licked dry! The only hiccup is that dinner started a little late, but it was not a big deal - especially considering the fact that they cooked the food onsite. This was a great win for us, since there was no kitchen at our venue, so we were initially a bit worried about even finding a caterer who could help us and not serve cold transported food. Love this place and we will definitely be going back to the brick and mortar often!

We wanted BBQ for our wedding. These guys were great. Only problem is that the meal was cold. Otherwise, we loved them.
