Magnolia Manor was a perfect venue for our wedding! Tina, the venue organizer, was very helpful answering questions and concerns. The home is beautiful inside and out. The bridal suite is large and has its own bathroom. The remaining rooms upstairs are currently being renovated at this time. The groom's quarters was perfect for the guys complete with its own bathroom, mini bar and a TV. There is plenty of space inside and outside the venue. We chose to have our ceremony on the front steps of the house. There was some traffic noise during the ceremony but my officiant had a lapel microphone and guests were able to still here him over the traffic. The cocktail hour was held inside the house and on the spacious back patio. The reception was held outside behind the back patio in the garden area. It was absolutely beautiful! We were able to bring in our own caterer and we were able to bring in our own alcohol as long as we supplied a certified bartender which helped save us money. The owner Mike was present the day of our wedding along with 2 helpers who assisted with set up and break down. They were extremely helpful and very willing to lend a hand when needed!!Sent on 10/19/2014
One small disappointment with the venue was the amount of time you are given for the rental fee. They allow you 4-11pm which does not give you enough time for set up beforehand. The contract states you will be charged $125 for each additional hour you arrive early. I was able to negotiate with them to arrive early for a different agreed upon fee however similar venues in the area allot you 12 hours with the rental. Also, you are charged a security fee per person if you serve alcohol which is determined when you sign the contract. I estimated and paid for 75 guests, however only 62 attended. The venue will not refund you the alcohol security fee for guests that did not attend.
Besides these two small disappointments, I would definitely recommend Magnolia Manor!
