Nick Pironio is a freelance, documentary photographer based out of Raleigh, NC. Before working in North Carolina, he worked as a photographer at the Hanover Evening Sun, The Monore Evening News and the Fayetteville Observer. After his time at the Observer, Nick became the personal photographer for John Edwards during the 2007-2008 Campaign. Since then Nick has been documenting the developing company, Raleigh Denim, which produces hand sewn jeans, sold in Barneys locations across the U.S. Nick's current projects include a photo collections of odd, yet decorative portraits of chickens with their care takers in the metro Raleigh area and an on-going research and documentation of the medical and emotional costs of the genetic disorder Hemophilia. Nick has been published in countless publications, including the New York Times and Elle magazine. His photography has also been recognized by Martha Stewart Online and BoHo magazine.
