With two distinctive venue spaces, KBR events can accommodate 12-125 guests with flexible dining options.
Tillie Hall (photos 1-11): Our event space at 32 S. Lexington Avenue is located on the second floor above Button & Co. Bagels, and is equipped with everything needed to host a seamless event. Featuring large windows, exposed brick, hardwood floors and many original elements, the space received a Griffin Award from the Preservation Society of Asheville and Buncombe County for adaptive reuse.
Perfect for the group who is excited about an elevated culinary experience, Tillie Hall space can accommodate 33 to 85 guests for a seated dinner, and up to 125 guests for cocktail-style reception. The menus offer beloved dishes from award-winning chef Katie Button's two neighboring restaurants, Cúrate and Button & Co. Bagels.
Cúrate-inspired dishes may be served for lunch or dinner in one of three formats: cocktail reception; “tapas style” (a variety of small dishes to share); or individually plated. For breakfast and lunch, hosts may select an over-the-top bagel brunch from Button & Co. Bagels with assorted bagels and spreads, bagel sandwiches, beautiful trays of gravlax, smoked Alaskan cod, and house-smoked pastrami, seasonal fruit and salads, and even boxed lunches.
Private Dining Room at Curate (photos 12-16): There’s something uniquely special about hosting an event in the Cúrate private dining room and wine cellar. Located downstairs from the main dining area, the space accommodates up to 32 guests for a seated dinner featuring seasonal menus, served tapas-style. For larger parties of 33 – 40 guests, a passed hors d’oeuvres and beverage format is available.
An added bonus, voted one of the 100 Best Wine Restaurants in 2018 by Wine Enthusiast, the Cúrate wine list is exclusively Spanish and features artisanal producers from all regions of Spain and the Canary Islands. A variety of sangria, Spanish sherry, vermouth, and cider are available for private events along with a full bar and local craft beer.
Should audio-visual equipment be required, a complimentary projector, screen, and audio are available at both locations.
In addition to weddings and rehearsal dinners, Katie Button Events is also perfect for holiday parties, welcome parties, corporate events, pharmaceutical and business dinners, fundraisers, birthday parties, bachelor or bachelorette parties, and memorials.

The best place to host a private dinner
Curate is one of our all time favorite restaurants. We hosted a friends and family "rehearsal" dinner in their downstairs private room the night before our wedding. The food, drinks, vibe, and service were all excellent. I can't think of a better place we could have hosted this dinner.Sent on 01/11/2020

Amazing Food, Service and Atmosphere
Do you want to have a stress-free special day, where you make amazing memories with your new spouse AND all your family and friends tell you that yours is the best wedding, they’ve ever attended? The answer is simple. Work with the Katie Button Restaurants Events staff for your big day!
My husband and I are Asheville residents and have had a few dinners at Cúrate (Katie’s tapas restaurant in downtown Asheville). When we decided to tie the knot we looked at Cúrate’s private dining room on a whim, assuming it would be too expensive. (We had our entire wedding for just over $5,000.) Much to our delight, it was very affordable! The private dining room at Cúrate is a small space (we had 22 guests and I think their max was 30) but it looks like their new events space could accommodate larger functions.
We knew that the food would be amazing. This is not your standard buffet/banquet fare. What we didn’t know was that the staff would be amazing as well. We had the tapas tasting menu for our little 24-person wedding dinner, a lovely wedding cake, and a cava toast. (Along with wines picked to pair with dinner and two different types of Sangria that greeted guests upon arrival.) When we originally booked the space, we were working with one person (who was awesome) but she was only temporarily handling the events side of things while they were hiring a new Events Director. The new Events Director started about a month before our wedding. They made the transition seamless. They were always quick to respond to emails and requests. Want to add a rose to the chosen white and red wines? No problem. Can we hook an iPhone into the speaker system so we can play our own Spotify playlist? Of course. Wait, you guys will also write out the place cards for us??! Yes.
At one point during our dinner a fuse popped and we lost lights in the little dining room. Normally, this would send me into a panic. However, the staff handled everything so professionally and so quickly that it ended up being no big deal. My mom actual took video of our guests chatting away happily in the temporary “mood lighting” and posted it on her Instagram. It’s a testament to the entire team (and probably the delicious Sangria) that these folks weren’t rioting before the first course arrived.
Afterwards, we heard over and over again from almost all of our guests how much they enjoyed the meal; how great the servers were (quick with refills is always good!!); and what a wonderful overall experience they had. We recently went home for the holidays and our family is still talking about how it was the best wedding ever. We are so lucky to have chosen Katie Button Restaurants/Cúrate for our wedding dinner. Highly recommend them. We’re actually thinking about getting divorced just so we can get re-married and re-book this event space. (Just kidding. But seriously, we love these guys!)

Loved our wedding dinner at Cúrate!
Cúrate was the absolute best place for our small wedding to have dinner! They worked with me beforehand to pick out tapas so that they accommodated every one in our group & helped me select the bar menu. Their private room is absolutely beautiful - it requires NO decorations which was amazing! My mother in law brought flowers for the table, they were removed for the food. I promise, you don't need them! The food and staff were wonderful. My grandmother even took the menu as a souvenir so she could remember what an amazing meal it was. We loved Cúrate before we booked our wedding dinner there, but now it means so much more. I would absolutely work with them again!Sent on 01/08/2020
