We had our wedding at Joyful Journey, and it was absolutely wonderful. The staff that we coordinated with were so helpful and kind which meant a lot during what can be a stressful time. Being able to soak in the pools before our wedding was also fantastic and relieved any last minute jitters. The setting was beautiful and everything was incredibly easy. We would both highly recommend this venue for any sort of gathering.

Joyful Journey was the perfect place for our wedding ceremony and reception. The towering Sangre de Cristos and summery rabbitbrush provided a beautiful backdrop for the event—and the photographs! The intimate size of the venue was just right for our group (~80-100 people total; wedding party and family stayed at Joyful Journey, the rest of our guests stayed in Salida). Marquita and the whole staff were warm, welcoming and helpful. And there's nothing quite like a late night soak to soothe sore dancing feet :)

Future couples should be aware that quiet time in the valley starts at 10pm, so loud music has to shut down earlier than other venues. (That left us time to relax in the tubs and have a bonfire before going to bed; both were wonderful!) Business proceedings like the contract were quite informal in contrast to our other vendors.

Overall, we would have our wedding here again in a heartbeat! Joyful Journey is truly unlike any other place in Colorado.

We wanted an intimate, private event. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect day! Mo and all the staff at Joyful Journey made our special day so memorable. Truly a wonderful experience!
