My best friend hired JMarcMedia to cover their wedding. Originally she wasn't going to spend any money on videography, but I convinced her that if you hire a top-of-the-line videographer, it'll be all worth it. And she made the right decision!

Style: Her video was done within 1 month after the wedding, it was the style they wanted, and it captured all the moments. I LOVED JMarcMedia's music selection, and their style. It's almost like a music video/love story commercial style. Really artistic and pretty. And they always have different angles, which made everything looked extra special (cake, dress, ball room, etc). They'll talk to you to see what style you like, and pick the right song for you. Somehow the way they edit makes the footage collide with the beats, really cool!!!

Professionalism: The videographer team was really professional. They arrived early and started setting up right away, and was there until the end of the day. They have some really crazy equipment, I guess that helps with all the different angles they're shooting.

Price: I would say they're fairly priced. For the hours they cover, the equipment, the style, and the number of people they send out, I think it's really worth it!

Overall: Highly recommended! It's really worth the price because they really will make your special day look great on the video. My friend said they still watch it a lot even after the wedding. (And I do too cause it was just really good!) I will recommend them to my friends who are getting married.

Note: I was talking to one of the videographer on the wedding day, and apparently they were trained under another pretty famous bay area video company. I guess that explains why they're so good!

UPDATE 3/16: Unfortunately, I need to downgrade my rating. I still love the team and think they're great people, but it has now been 11 months and the video has not been delivered. According to our last correspondence, they won't even get to it until after May, which will make it over a year past the date. To be fair, they did give me a video about 6 months after the wedding (NOT the music video as agreed upon below) but it was not even close the quality of the videos in their portfolio and used a random song we had not agreed on. I had several wedding industry friends (pro photographers and videographers) view the draft and they they were honestly very disappointed and advised me to get a re-edit, and he was happy to do it. I hope I'll have a final video I love as much as their portfolio. I already gave a huge tip. :\

My primary correspondence was with Jonathan. Jonathan was always very friendly, professional, and receptive to my crazy random ideas. I prepped him much in advance with my detailed timeline and with preliminary video footage of our first dance (which was a swing dance, so it was essential that my photographers and videographers were prepared for this). After the wedding, Jonathan even went out of his way to meet me to hand off an external hard drive for putting the raw footage on.

I had 3 videographers for my wedding, and they shot on DSLRs. Jonathan will be putting together a music video for me, so we had a few segments shot with the us/bridal party/guests lip-syncing/karaoking to the song we chose. I can't wait to see it, but I know I'll love it. :)

My choice of venue (a large but not-large-enough boat on the highly windy SF Bay, dimly lit) made it incredibly difficult for my media team to capture their best shots, but we had a lot of good opportunities during the getting-ready portion of the day and I also hired both my photographer Michelle Chiu and videographer Jonathan for an hour of day-after shooting.
