So I wasn't originally going to get a videographer, and then about 2-3 weeks prior to the wedding, I decided that I wanted to have a video of the wedding. I started searching for a videographer within my budget and began looking at the work and reviews that I could find. It wasn't long before I came across Sean with Island Photo & Video (also goes by Cinemobius https://www.facebook.com/cinemobiusfilms). From the moment I sent him my first email, I got an immediate response and, throughout all the communication, got immediate responses everytime I had a question.
I admit, I was a little nervous about sending a payment to a complete stranger who I had never met for the promise a service would be completed for me at a later date, but Sean was quick to draw up a contract to help ease my concerns.
The day of the wedding, I knew immediately who he was when I walked up. He had a super friendly demeanor, kind spirit, and great personality. I knew I had made a good choice as "good guy" vibes just flowed from him. He was very kind and accommodating - wasn't demanding and got the shots he needed naturally as we were doing our thing.
A couple weeks later, we got the video! Super fast turnaround time and beautiful, quality work! Everyone who has commented to me about the video goes on and on about how clear the shots are and how crisp the video looks. It looks like a movie trailer the way that he cut it and put it all together - very artistic!
Overall, he was definitely a great decision! I would absolutely recommend and if you read this far into my review... book him :)

My wedding photographer, Vitor Lindo, contracted Sean to do our video shooting and editing. I paid $2500 plus $750 for an extra hour for a total of $3250 for video alone.

My contract said 90 biz days I'd get the video. 90 biz days came and went and still I had no video, so I emailed Vitor. A week later, he left me a voicemail saying Sean, the videographer, thought some files from our reception were corrupted and so he hadn't started the video yet. Vitor sent him the correct files that day and said Sean was going away 4 days later and was going to try to finish it before his trip.

I am not a professional video editor but I work in media and I know that it takes WAY more than 4 days to edit 6 hours worth of footage of what is the most important day in a person's life.

The video we got was awful. There was no background music. No different angles during our vows. The quality of the editing was haphazard at best. I cried watching it. I told them I was unhappy and Sean offered to try it again. He sent a new copy, hardly better than the first. Eventually, I asked him to upload ALL the raw footage for me so I could do with it what I wanted. He was polite and he agreed but he never once apologized. I paid for the 256 gb thumb drive and shipping. When I got it, I was stunned to see how many special, intimate moments he left out of our video! It was like he didn't watch all the footage at all. I'm just relieved he sent it all to me and I have it now.

I am now spending $2200 (!) to have someone else create a new video.

My wedding was nearly one year ago but I didn't feel comfortable enough to leave a review until I knew I had all my footage in hand. Be careful if you hire a photographer who includes video and ask them to tell you who their videographer will be and check THEIR reviews! I didn't do that and I regret t.

He'd get ZERO stars if it was possible to do so. Our wedding was canceled due to a category 4 hurricane. Sean did not bother to contact me once during the process of dealing with the sudden horrible notice. I emailed him to let him know the wedding was canceled due to MANDATORY EVACUATION (after he failed to answer my calls) and to call me asap. He did not. He did not email me. He didn't do anything but steal money from us. He did not respond until 2.5 weeks later after I contacted him multiple times and finally sent a rude email (apparently being rude is the only way to get a response). Yes the contract stated if there is a location change or the couple cancels the wedding they don't get a dime back. 1) we were forced to cancel the wedding he was hired to work and to evacuate, as was he. 2) we did not change the location by choice! We got married in our home state because it was our only option! Then he comes back and argues "well I would've came to Ohio and filmed the wedding". Ok, then why didn't you call me to tell me that?? He also said his wife was VERY sick yet Almost 3 weeks later he decides he would have come to Ohio. I hope if she was sick, she's okay but LOL what a liar about traveling up here when he has an ill wife 12 hours away. It's called being a good person and being fair. He has high Lack of communication and professionalism. Moral of the story is he is a lying thief. If you want $1800 just taken from you, then go ahead and book him! I hope this review will save couples who want the least stressful wedding day. Also, him and his wife go by Wen McNally Photograph and Video as well on wedding website so stay away! She had good reviews so she might be great to work with, but he is NOT. I have all the emails documented to prove that my review states the truth so I'd be happy to share if any bride out there wants to See proof!! :)
