Ike Kanakanui is a Hawaiian born, California grown musician with influences spanning from Braddah Iz to Bob Marley. He was late to the professional music scene opting to join the US Navy directly out of High School. After 8 enlightening years with the armed service Ike decided to pick a new career path and lifestyle. Buying a boat in Key West and setting sail for the caribbean islands he began to play music everywhere he went.

After spending much time honing his craft and traveling the world he has developed a style and approach like no other, often infusing a reggae/word music style with popular covers using a loop station and a plethora of different instruments. You will experience a huge span of diversity in his set that shows his eclectic influences and talents.

He has opened for many well known international and grammy nominated artists to include Third World, Pato Banton and Beres Hammond. No matter the event Ike will bring a positive vibe and a message of love wherever he plays.
