About Historic Poplar Grove Plantation
Generations of couples have been married at this treasured family home. On the National Register of Historic Places, a wedding at one of the North Carolina’s oldest former peanut plantations is an opportunity to create your vision upon a blank canvas, whether you’re planning a rehearsal dinner, wedding and/or reception.
With a stunning view of the Manor House's double piazzas, wedding ceremonies at Poplar Grove provide an intimate and natural setting for any occasion. Catering to couples who favor rustic elegance, Poplar Grove is an amazing backdrop for your fall, winter, spring or summer wedding.
Each couple has the opportunity to share their special day unique to their personality and style by choosing their own caterer, band, photographer, event planner, florist, and tent rentals. We have on site tables and chairs included with your package.
Additionally, there are more than one place to stage your wedding ceremony, such as the gazebo, back courtyard of the Manor House, or under the Red Oak tree. Poplar Grove can accommodate the most ceremonial or most informal weddings.
Unique to your experience is the Manor House bridal suite. For an additional fee you and your wedding party can dress and prepare all the final touches before descending down the main staircase of the Manor House. There is also a gentlemen’s morning room.
For a dramatic reveal, choose to exit from the front or back porches to meet your family and friends who have come to celebrate your special day.
