The classical HAMILTON TRIO since its founding in northern Virginia in 1986 has comprised Louise Fenn (flute and voice), John Howard (violin, and arranger) and Elizabeth Kellogg (cello).
For many years the Trio ranked first among ensembles large and small in the local newspaper's annual ‘Best of Everything’ poll.
In 2000 it was nominated for the Virginia Governor’s "Excellence in the Arts" Awards.
The Trio presents concerts, often of newly available historical material, and plays for weddings (over 1000) and other special occasions. Website: http://classicaltrio.com
The Trio provides not only wedding ceremony music, but also music for the 'cocktail hour' and even dinner. A minimum does apply.

We highly recommend The Hamilton Trio. Their professionalism was exceptional and they were very familiar with each of the songs we wanted played. We received many compliments from guests on the music and how "classy" it was. Thank you for everything!

Having live music for the ceremony was one of my "must haves" for the ceremony and cocktail hour. Although I didn't get to hear much of the music, my husband said that they were awesome and he was so glad I hired them. The price wasn't exactly cheap, but the setting that was created by their music could not be replicated. If you have it in your budget--go for the live musicians!
