About General's Ridge Vineyard
General's Ridge Vineyard
A step back in time
The perfect retreat for a quiet, weekend get-a-way, a vacation, an off-site business/banquet meeting, a wedding, an anniversary, a family reunion or any special event.
General's Ridge Vineyard is located in the heart of Virginia's historic Northern Neck, a peninsula lodged between the Potomac and the Rappahannock Rivers and flows into the Chesapeake Bay. George Washington referred to it as "the Garden of Virginia".
We have three facilities available on this 100 acre farm for your enjoyment. The Manor House (with 3 bedrooms, several sitting rooms, and porches), Vineyard Views (2 bedroom cottage, with porch and sitting rooms) and the Carriage House (a 1,000 sq. ft. conference center for business get-a-ways). Facilities can be used together to provide a great business off site or a get-a-way for large families and friends. They can be rented separately or in combination as your needs require.
Just a short drive from Washington, D.C. (2 hours), Fredericksburg (1 hour), Richmond (1 1/2 hours) and the Hampton Roads/Norfolk (2 hours), is the Northern Neck -- rich in history on both land and water. It is a land of old plantations and historic villages set among the coves and rivers of the Chesapeake Bay.
During your stay at the General's Ridge Vineyard, go see the Colonial American farm life at George Washington's Birthplace; or Stratford Hall, the birthplace of Robert E. Lee, and Menokin, home of Francis Lightfoot Lee (signer of the Declaration of Independence).
Take a short drive to nearby restaurants and many other historic attractions in this, the cradle of our nation, and enjoy the timeless appeal and rural charm of the Northern Neck and its people.
