Mackie is an intelligent, dedicated, and compassionate person. I loved how attentive she was to me and my daughter. She was always quick on her feet, with sensible reactions in all the circumstances that came up while planning the wedding. She handled all our issues with thoughtfulness and integrity. I would recommend her to other families.

Mackie was the best thing that happened to me when I began my wedding preparations - without her, I never would have been able to plan the amazing wedding we had. She is professional, organized, and creative (guests are still commenting on how much they loved many of her clever ideas) and is always on top of all of the details. She's always responsive to emails and questions, knows how to roll with the stresses of planning, and is an absolute pleasure to work with, making the whole process a lot of fun. From the beginning, Mackie identified, interviewed and vetted vendors before having me speak with them, helped locate and then took responsibility for ordering dozens of speciality items, identified helpers for the day of the wedding, and coordinated with all of the vendors and the venue so that the wedding day was seamless and beautiful. She looked over contracts, ensured that payments were made on time, and kept comprehensive lists of everything that needed to be done. She was sensitive to our budget concerns, and helped us find the most affordable ways to do all the things we wanted to, helping us negotiate discounts and better rates, and making sure that vendors got things done on time. I felt comfortable with all of her judgments - Mackie has great taste and real eye for fun details, and knows how to pull lots of elements together in clever and sophisticated ways. Her rates were so reasonable that I actually gave her a large bonus because she had earned it!!! I cannot recommend her highly enough!

We brought Mackie on rather late in the planning process (about 5 months out) when we were seriously in the weeds with our vendors. She came in and organized EVERYTHING and helped us make all the key decisions that needed to be made. Furthermore, she had amazing cost-saving and DIY ideas that truly made our event both elegant and personal.
Our downtown DC venue turned out to be very difficult to work with (change in management, gaps in the contract, unwritten rules, last minute requirements) and Mackie was our ally the whole way. Her legal background turned out to be a huge help in our situation and we are incredibly grateful for all her help and advice. We only wish that we had brought her on sooner!
