The venue’s original stone farmhouse was constructed in the 1730s and transformed to Cascade Lodge in 1939. Various additions were added to the farmhouse over time, and though it began as a lodge, the restaurant’s success demanded any space that became available. In 2017, co-founders Dan Fehligh and Ian Humphreys bought the restaurant and over 33 acres of the original farm and began renovations on the property. The new barn replaced one of the old wings to offer a warm, welcoming space for special events.

You found the best place!
If you are looking for a wedding venue (or even a place to stop in for dinner), you can stop your search because you’ve found the perfect place. My husband and I got married here in August 2019 and couldn’t have had a more fabulous wedding day or planning process.Sent on 08/29/2019
We were treated like gold from our initial email contact up until and after our wedding day. The space is so beautiful that it speaks for itself; rolling hills surrounding it with a natural spring that runs through the building. The renovations that Dan and Ian did are absolutely breathtaking. There is no ugly carpet like many wedding venues have and no tackiness about the chandeliers (two of my biggest pet peeves at other spots)… just absolute understated elegance EVERYWHERE. You can dress up the venue as little or as much as you’d like; it will look fabulous either way. My husband and I felt we did not need much as far as bringing in flowers/decorations and just let the venue’s beauty shine through on its own. Many of our guests commented on how lovely the setting was. The lighting and sound system that Dan/Ian had installed in the main room were also top notch. Our band was worried about hooking up to house sound, but this was not an issue at all just in case others have this reservation. The flexibility that they offered was also incredible; we were able to call indoor vs. outdoor ceremony on the morning of our wedding day. The day before it looked like 50 percent chance of rain, but as of that morning, there were no drops to be seen on the forecast and we were able to execute our dream of having our ceremony on the hilltop overlooking the pond. This was such a gift; no other venue that we toured allowed a game-time decision for ceremony location (and no other venue had such a good rain back-up plan!!)
In addition to its pleasing esthetics, Durham Springs KILLED it with our food/drink items. Our guests were RAVING about how delicious everything was. We were lucky enough to customize our menu and watch the chef bring our vision to life: think miniature cheesesteaks and chilled cucumber/mint soup shooters at our request. Also, the “beet tartare” was fantastic. The service staff was also all incredibly courteous and fun; we had them join us on the dance floor for our last song and it was such good energy all around.
Enough good things could never be said about our wedding coordinator, Kat Persing. She was an absolute gift for us during our whole planning process and especially on our wedding day. My husband and I were a little type A as far as planning the details; we had some trouble relinquishing control (a personal problem unrelated to Kat haha), but Kat was super patient with us and graciously took all of our phone calls/emails and went with all of our changes/crazy ideas. She executed all of our visions perfectly and kept us totally calm on our day. The timing of everything was spot on and she made us our own plates to insure that we ate and got to enjoy our food. She continually checked in with us throughout the day and was the most fantastic point person I ever could have imagined. (We love you Kat!!)
So, in summary, if you are sick of looking at all of the cookie cutter wedding venues like my husband and I were (aka you pick one package out of 3 options as far as menu/ceremony/etc options and have no originality), pick Durham Springs for your venue instead. You will not be disappointed. They let you bring any vision that you have to life, no matter how big or small. You can design your own wedding with the help of their professional team supporting you. Our guests all kept saying how “us” the wedding was; that wouldn’t have been able to shine through at any other venue we toured.
The best part of the whole thing? Durham Springs also has a restaurant where we can return for dinner anytime we’d like. This place is so special to us and we are ecstatic that we found it. Many good memories to come with them!!

Great Venue with Fabulous Food
We had our dad's life celebration at Durham Springs over the weekend. Kat did a wonderful job in helping us plan and coordinate our luncheon.Sent on 06/06/2019
We requested a Chinese-themed menu and the Chef did not disappoint. In attendance we had many Chinese moms and grandmoms so you know they were going to be hard to please. We also had professional restauranteurs including a Best of Philly winner. They were all impressed with the Chinese food, especially the expert care in which the vegetables were cooked. The service was excellent and the staff were very accommodating. We were 45 mins late in arriving so all the kids were hungry. The staff expertly took care of the kids' needs much to the appreciation of the parents.
The facility itself is beautiful, warm, and spacious. The grounds are well manicured and the views are all that you expect in a Bucks County setting.
We have been to Cascade The Restaurant at Durham Springs a few times already and had wonderful meals, but now we know that the next time we need a beautiful place to host 200 of our dearest friends and family where the food and drink will make us look good, the event center at Durham Springs will be our choice.
When you celebrate your wedding with us on or before March 31, 2020, you will enjoy Bucks County’s premier new wedding venue and some extra perks.
