Everyone says they're different. It's easy to say "look, I'm different" without backing it up. We can and will back it up.
Look at our blog, pick any session. Look at the people. Forget the fancy photographic tecnique, the gorgeous dresses and epic settings, or the unattractive dresses and tragic settings. That's all stuff that people who are passionate about photography look at. We're NOT passionate about photography. We are passionate about people and relationships. So back to the photos... look at them, look at their expressions, look at their true souls.
Not convinced? Prove us wrong!
Schedule a consultation with us and we will start it with 5 minutes of photography and take TWO photos to show you what different looks like but also what it FEELS like.
While our logo may resemble a forward leaning lower case d (you know... as in "di sciascio") it is in fact a greek delta. A symbol that for over two thousand years has symbolized: different. We wear it proudly.
We interact differently, we sell differently and we photograph differently. We measure our work not by how many photos we deliver (not a lot of them actually... we prefer fewer BETTER photos... if you want 24 photos per second of your wedding, we have excellent cinematographers we'd love to recommend) but by how real the outcome is.
We only shoot a maximum of two weddings per month and reserve those slots for couples who not only value photography, but couples who are open to doing things differently in a meaningful way. If you're not both open to the idea of showing your true feelings for each other in front of our camera there are plenty of other fantastic photographers you might be better served by.
The best way to enjoy our art is on your home's walls or coffeetable, the next best is to see it in its temporary digital form on our site: www.disciascio.com
You can also see our most recent work here: www.disciascio.com/blog
Here's a recent full engagement session
and a full wedding album and yes it's completely in black and white. Of course not all of our albums are, but look through it. It killed us to lose the gorgeous blue of the gowns and the orange of the flowers. But look carefully... do you see the raw emotions shining through?
And speaking of albums. No we don't offer "those" italian albums everyone else down here seems to offer that feel like they were dipped in plastic. If you're gonna get ONE italian thing for your wedding... it might as well be the phtographer ;)
(Opera-style singing during the getting ready photography is an at-cost extra )
You've probably caught on that we don't take ourselves too seriously. We do, however, take our work VERY seriously.
Let's have coffee and help you scratch "photographer" off your list.

Last fall, I had the pleasure of working alongside Alessandro when I hired Di Sciascio Photography to shoot a wedding with me.Sent on 02/02/2011
I brought Alessandro all the way up from Florida to NC. His skill is on par (and even better in certain areas) as my own when it comes to wedding photography. He is a consummate professional, full of energy and one heck of a great cook!
I highly recommend Alessandro for any wedding, local or worldwide. I can't wait to bring him back to NC or wherever my next wedding assignment takes me so I can have the pleasure of working with him again.

Di Sciascio is the most amazing husband (Alessandro) and wife (Lisett) team photographers in town!!! You have to check out their website to see and appreciate the work they do. They are professional, creative, punctual, friendly, easy to work with, extremely helpful, we could go on and on with all the special qualities they have. Both Alessandro and Lisett enjoy what they do, have great ideas and welcome your own ideas to make your pictures special adding your own personality, and actually take their time without rushing you throughout the whole photo session. They made our engagement pictures and our wedding day very special. Thank you guys a million!!!! We recommend them 100% for any special occasion!!!Sent on 08/20/2010

We hired Alessandro as our photographer for our destination wedding in Aspen, CO in January 2010 after seeing what an amazing job he did on our engagement photos- we were blown away by the quality of his work and his 'eye' for catching the right shot at the right moment. We knew we wanted him to photograph our wedding, and we are so happy that he did.
Of all the vendors that we worked with for our wedding, Alessandro was the best- not only was he professional, flexible, and prompt in all of his communications leading up to the day; but when it came to the actual wedding he was also a ton of fun to have around, everyone loved him!
He went out of his way to catch that 'perfect shot' over and over again and the results of his hard work were absolutely incredible.
We would hire him again in a second and we give his business card to everyone we know that gets engaged!
