Detour Vineyard & Winery is a pristine 80 acre estate nestled in the foothills of the majestic Catoctin Mountians. With stunning views of Camp David, Mount St. Mary's and Ski Liberty, Detour offers year round vistas and magical settings. The estate has nearly 3/4 of a mile of river frontage to Double Pipe creek as well as the same rail road tracks used during the Civil War to transport you back in time. The nearly 2 acre pond offers a placid setting for private photos for brides and grooms on their special day. Situated in our 35 acre vineyard, couples are able to exchange their vows amidst sately vines and beautiful views of the mountians.

Cabernet Hall - newly finished 5000 sq. ft. banquet hall comfortably seats 200 to 250. Fully air-conditioned and heated. Included in the package: rental space, tables & chairs for 150 guests, wedding coordination, parking attendants, servers of wine at bar, setup/clean up. Wine purchase required * 4 hour minimum

Patio at Cabernet Hall- to be built ’14, This gorgeous 1500 sq. ft tumbled paver patio will be nestled between the tasting room and Cabernet Hall. Part of this space will include a raised stage area for musicians, several smaller terraces for smaller private seating, and beautiful views of the mountains and future lake.

Deck at Cabernet Hall- to be built ’14, The 2700 sq. ft. Trex deck will attach the above patio to Cabernet Hall and offer stunning views of both the lake as well as the Catoctin Mountains. Guests will have access to tables with umbrellas and chairs.

Traminette Suite- Newly built, approx. 500 sq. ft., comfortably accommodates about 35 guests seated in addition to an oversized half bath. A perfect space for the bride and bridal party to prepare.

Vidal Blanc Wedding Chapel- the perfect place for your wedding ceremony. When you have your ceremony at Detour Winery, you will have a beautiful space to say your vows in front of family and friends, and a private place for the bride to get ready, in the Traminette Suite, see above for a details. Grooms’ party is welcome to use the “green room” within the Syrah Pavilion, if they would like, we just ask you let us know if you would like to use this area. We will set up/tear down the ceremony site, you will receive 150 chairs (additional chairs are extra), and access to the Traminette Suite.

Syrah Pavilion- 2700 sq. ft area. Perfect outdoor space for bridal parties, family gathering, birthday parties etc. space is able to accommodate 100 people.

Syrah Pavilion Grounds - you are able to rent a grass area on the vineyard property to put up a reception tent at an additional cost.

Catawba Pond- no swimming or fishing allowed. This area would be available for couples to gather with their family and friends for exclusive photo opportunities.
