Inadequate supply of food items. Tepid food temps. Picnic-like presentation.
The Crave Hospitality Group catered our wedding for 8 people on 21 April 2019.Sent on 05/01/2019
Kalia Dorval was our coordinator.
We wrote to Crave asking for specific items that were important to us. We even included photos.
Here was our list:
Crustless Finger Sandwiches
Meat topped Crostinis
Antipasto Platter or Skewers
Smoked Salmon and Cream Cheese Cucumber Bites
Prosciutto Caprese Bites
Shrimp and Goat Cheese Tarts
Crab Dip and Bagel Bites
Watermelon Brie Bites
Baked Ham and Cheese Rollups
Spicy Cranberry BBQ Meatballs
Prosciutto Wrapped Asparagus
Spicy Bloody Mary Gazpacho and Shrimp Shooters
Veggie Dip Cups
Tiny Hand-held cupped vegetable or fruit salads
The list was ignored, totally.
We got a message stating, "All of your appetizers listed here will work great, the only ones that we will not be able to provide are the meat items do to transportation issues with keeping them warm."
Then a few days later, we got this message: "Sorry that I never let you know that I had updated the menu, I assumed it (their computer system) would send you a notification. I updated your menu a couple of days ago, if you follow this link you'll see it. Let me know what you think."
Here is the final menu we received:
Assorted pastry puffs
Antipasto Platter or Skewers
Artichoke & Guacamole Dip with crackers
Crave is providing and dropping off the following:
-Champagne x 3 bottles inexpensive
-10 Champagne Flutes
-Platters for presenting the food
-cups and saucers
- cream and sugar
- coffee & tea
-$100 set up & tear down fee
-Cost Food $50 per person: 8 persons
Total : $544
11am- drop off and set up - pick up and 2pm.
I think anyone would agree that the menu provided, at the last moment, was a far cry from what we wanted and expected. $50.00 a person for these items? Seriously? Scandalously inept.
We could have treated our guests to a first-class restaurant lunch/dinner. And we wish we did.
And no dessert, as requested, at a wedding?
Our guests were gracious. We were embarrassed.
We were not at all pleased, but it was too late.
We can not recommend Crave.
Crave caved. Sad. Really sad.
