Convict Lake Resort is a lakeshore wedding venue located in Mammoth Lakes, California. Situated below the peak of Mount Morrison, this venue hosts romantic weddings with scenic views of the 170-acre crystal-clear lake surrounded by tall aspens. Couples can enjoy the breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains, wildflowers, and fall colors as a backdrop for their wedding ceremony. Convict Lake Resort has coordinated more than 400 weddings over the past 20 years.
Facilities and Capacity
Couples can host up to 200 guests within the grounds of the Convict Lake Resort. You can easily celebrate both your ceremony and reception on the grounds thanks to its numerous event sites. You can exchange your vows at the edge of the breathtaking lake, against the unforgettable background of the mountains. Your cocktail hour and reception can take place at the gorgeous Restaurant at Convict Lake. Alternatively, you can opt for an outdoor reception and celebrate your union under the provided event tent. Here, guests can comfortably be seated with plenty of room to accommodate a dance floor for your after-dinner entertainment. Each event site highlights picturesque views of the enchanting surroundings. The resort also provides 28 cabins and three houses for accommodations.
Services Offered
Convict Lake Resort is a full-service wedding venue with accommodations and event planning available. In addition, the team can also provide in-house catering and bar services. The culinary and mixology staff are excited to help you design a selection of food and drinks that suits your taste. Assistance in set up can be arranged, as well as a number of event rentals. After your event, the staff can take care of clean-up, allowing you to enjoy your spectacular celebration entirely stress-free.

The Restaurant at Convict Lake is a well-known dining place in Mammoth Lakes. It has been catering wedding events for more than 20 years with its professional chefs and trained staff. Couples can choose from a variety of serving styles such as buffet, plated, family-style, stations, and hors d’oeuvres.

We LOVE working with the team at Convict Lake Resort, and are so grateful to have planned many events at this beautiful property. Convict Lake Resort is a world class wedding destination of the finest in it's class. The service team is excellent and well trained, very professional they almost always have a sommelier on staff. The wedding planning team of Mike and Meghan are always on point. Weddings at this location are always executed flawlessly in time. The magic is in the details they are very meticulous and organized. Convict Lake is so smooth your guests will be impressed by the flow! The food is delicious, you could argue it the finest in all the Sierra! You can always taste the craftsmanship. From the homemade salad dressings the vinaigrette is off the hook! There is a New York that is roasted Prime Rib style that reinvents the game! My personal favorite is the Mahi Mahi with Jalapeño Cilantro. Chef Oscar and this crew are very talented. Yea the service and view combined with the value make this place all time. The view from the ceremony sites speaks for itself. Take the hike around the lake and let the mountains and the majesty speak to you. You will thank me! (about 45 minutes easy terrain and no elevation gain. Bring water, wear sunscreen, appropriate footwear) I recommend Convict Lake on every level. This place is fantastic!
