The Historic Centre Furnace Mansion is a unique venue to host a private party, business social, reunion, corporate function, bridal shower, rehearsal dinner, wedding ceremony or reception. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the original Mansion hearth dates to 1791, the main house dates to 1826, while the back ell dates to 1846. Maintained by the Centre County Historical Society (CCHS), this house first belonged to the Ironmasters who owned and operated Centre Furnace. In 1855, the Ironmasters donated the land to establish Farmers High School - which today is known as The Pennsylvania State University. This historic "birthplace of Penn State" is located 1 mile downhill from Beaver Stadium.
