About Celebrating with Ceremony

I was ordained a Community Interfaith minister to be able to assist people celebrate their lives. Especially people who do not necessarily connect to a specific tradition, or who connect to more than one tradition, or no tradition at all.

One of the great gifts of my work as a community minister is creating a ceremony or ritual that affirms and celebrates life in all its amazing beauty and wonder. Beginnings, endings and the myriad of passages in between make us who we are as people, as families and as a community.

These times are best honored with a ritual to mark the special time and to celebrate the continuum of our lives and connections.

Whether you identify with a faith tradition, a mix of traditions or no tradition or a spiritual path or practice or no specifically named path, I offer a collaborative process, creating a unique and meaningful ceremony or ritual that reflects your values and beliefs. Testimonials are available. Fees are affordable and negotiable, and most credit cards are accepted.

I serve the San Francisco Bay Area (North Bay, San Francisco, East Bay and the Peninsula). I will also travel to any location (additional fees may apply).

Examples of Rituals:

- Weddings and Commitment Ceremonies
- Funerals and Memorials

Other Services:

Rev. Karuna Gerstein is wonderful! Karuna officiated our winter solstice wedding. She is very open and compassionate! She guided us through the process from our first meeting to the signing of the marriage certificate. She helped us to create a custom ceremony that reflected our beliefs and principles. We greatly appreciated her enlightening questions and spiritual lens. Not only did she write a unique sermon for our ceremony, but she also provided counseling for us leading up to the wedding. She made us feel very comfortable and safe, employing some humor in the process. The marriage questionnaire that she provided us is something that we will continually work with during our marriage. We will call on Karuna for our future sacred events!
