Brittni, is an Emergency Management Coordinator at Children's Mercy KC. She provides support to the hospital's incident command system and develops preparedness training. Brittni spent a year traveling different parts of the world before moving to Milan, Italy in 2017 to complete her master’s degree.. She has her master's degree in International Health Care Management, Economics, & Policy. She has worked with Heart to Heart International, the Belize Red Cross, the Khmer Institute for International Development in Cambodia, and has represented Doctors for the Environment at the World Health Assembly held at the United Nations headquarters in Switzerland. Even after visiting over 25 countries, she continues to have a love for new places and learning about different cultures. Brittni has a deep passion for the humanitarian sector and wants to use her gained knowledge to build and improve her local community.
During Brittni’s time in Italy, she and Susan were introduced to the Italian art of the Aperitivo. During these few hours in the evening, friends can enjoy an after-work glass of wine or cocktail and some delicious bites, known as stuzzichini. . This is a good way to re-start the metabolism to work up an appetite for dinner. Wanting to bring a little piece of Italy home with her, Brittni and Susan operate an "aperitif" style wine café consisting of International Wines in the third event space.

Susan has been the Lineman Program Coordinator at the Metropolitan Community College in Kansas City for the last fourteen years. Prior to her teaching future Journeyman Lineman, Susan was a Journeyman Lineman herself, at Kansas City Power and Light. She was the first female Journeyman Lineman in the state of Missouri. She has been featured in T&D Magazine, “The American Lineman” published book, and was a recipient of the INSIGHT into Diversity magazines, 100 Inspiring Women in STEM award. In 2019, she was also a recipient of the MCCA Governor's Teaching Excellence Award. In 2021, Susan was inducted into the International Lineman's Hall of Fame in recognition of her contributions to the industry. She and her husband raised their five children in the Tri-County area, where they still reside today.
Brittni and Susan may have taken two different career paths but have both always had a passion and knack for event planning, organization, and the love of wine. Throughout the years, they have coordinated several events for up to 75 persons and weddings for up to 125 persons. Themed birthday parties such as Dr. Suess and The Nightmare Before Christmas, Happily Never After Murder Mystery Dinner, Halloween Haunted Barn & Hayrides, and many more, are examples of the different types of events these ladies have planned and coordinated in the past. Wedding themes have also included a large variety of styles from country chic to elegant fairytales, making any bride’s dream come true. While this building consists of three event spaces, two will be used to host pre-designed weddings and events.
