The idea behind Big Sky Tent and Party Rental formed in 1998, when owners Jim and Anne-Marie Eddy planned their own Martha’s Vineyard tented wedding. Noting the Island’s need for a service-oriented rental company, the Eddys decided to leave their corporate jobs behind and grow a company that could truly fulfill the expectations of Vineyard brides and grooms, event planners, and private party hosts.

Today, Big Sky remains a family-owned business and is the Island’s exclusive provider of majestic Sperry Tents. Not only are Sperry Tents one-of-a-kind, they are handcrafted out of durable sailcloth and boast nautical touches, from wooden support poles to waving pennant flags. In the past few years, Sperry Tents have become increasingly sought-after for outdoor weddings throughout New England, and in turn have been showcased on an array of websites, blogs, and magazine pages, including Martha Stewart Weddings and TheKnot.com.
