After our wedding I was left wondering why more people don't have their weddings at Big Lagoon! We used their amphitheater for the ceremony and the Governor's Pavilion for the reception- both of which were absolutely beautiful. I was worried about the restrooms prior to the wedding- thinking I may have to go in and clean up a little the day prior based on what I've seen at other parks (scary!). They take such wonderful care of their park... I felt like a complete dork when I opened the restrooms and saw how unbelievably CLEAN they are! They don't have the ease of onsite catering or anything, but to me, the view makes up for it. There aren't many outdoor venues in the woods that you have a wonderful view of the water from, but this is one of them! Additionally, every single staff person in the park was wonderful. You can tell they enjoy their jobs and were there to do whatever they could when we needed something. I think I may had paved the way for more weddings out there, everyone raved about how wonderful it was!
