This stunning forest venue welcomes parties to get lost amongst the trees and make precious memories, all whilst aiding a good cause. Nestled amongst thickets of woodland, couples can let their imaginations run wild, creating a big day full of charm and character. Situated a reasonable drive from Portland, the journey to the venue is defined by eye-catching sights and long, winding country roads.
Facilities and Capacity
Believe in Books Literacy Foundation can host celebrations for up to 100 friends and family members. Couples can opt to exchange their vows in the amphitheater with its stunning scenery and clear, natural acoustics. Chairs can be arranged here to form an aisle leading down to a picture-perfect wedding arch. Afterwards, guests can retreat to the shelter of the characterful marquee-style Theater for a sophisticated garden party reception. The venue is offered as a blank slate for couples to use when creating the wedding theme of their dreams. There are several other ceremony sites available across the grounds. Couples may choose to say “I do” overlooking the still waters of a tranquil pond, or host their ceremony on the banks of a gently flowing river. Furniture, such as tables and chairs, is included with the rental of the venue. There is parking available on-site for guests arriving from far and wide.

They can take care of a party’s audiovisual needs with their custom lighting and sound packages. These even include a technician to ensure everything runs smoothly. A day-of coordinator can also be provided to supervise the most important aspects of the event. The management can also provide access to get-ready spaces for the wedding party to avail of. The rental of the venue includes access for up to 10 hours and dedicated bar service.

Nate is our Theater Manager here at the 100-Acre Wood. He directs several children's productions inside of our 300-seat theater each year. Nate is a University of New Hampshire Graduate with a concentration in Theater. He has a great attention to detail and is happy to help you make your big day come to life!

Shelby loves weddings! After working several weddings and planning her own, she is happy to help couples make their wedding day magical and special at our 100-Acre Wood Venue. When Shelby isn't planning an event or helping the foundation get books to children she she loves to hike and ski.
