Beachwalk Resort, an hour from downtown Chicago, is on Lake Michigan's most beautiful beach. Our resort of pastel-colored cottages with white picket fences is a perfect setting for your wedding. The event site is a grove lined with birch trees where a white tent looks out onto our interior lake (Lake Kai). Most of our bridal parties and wedding guests stay in our vacation rental homes, which sleep from 2 to 20. We have excellent relationships with local caterers, florists, officiants...everything you need to make your day magical. Most importantly, our "beachwalk" to Lake Michigan is a bride's dream come true. Photographers take advantage of this beautiful setting for memorable images before and after the wedding. Beachwalk is a relaxing resort with a pool, tennis, basketball and volleyball courts, putting green, Sandcastle playground, splash pad all nestled around winding streets and charming cottages and grand beach homes.

Beachwalk is so incredibly beautiful. All of our guests were in awe at the beauty and charm of Beachwalk Resort. It's a great alternative to a higher priced Chicago wedding. Our family and bridal parties rented houses for the wedding and we stayed at Kokomo. This gave our wedding an intimate and personal feel, like a backyard wedding, but better. The staff was very helpful and generous. We ordered our own flowers and they allowed us to have them delivered to the office before we even arrived. They helped us with anything we needed the weekend of the wedding. I would recommend Beachwalk Resort to anyone who wants a unique and beautiful wedding that highlights the natural splendor of Lake Michigan.Sent on 06/25/2010

We were married on September 7th at Beachwallk Resort. The wedding was great the reception was great but Beachwalk was just one problem after another.Sent on 10/01/2013
-they gave away our first picked wedding date after it was promised to us - we later found out it was given to the owner's stepson.
-we chose them b/c it was byob and then later found that it was no longer allowed
-we were required to have and pay for off duty police officers to be "security" they were supposed to be unseen and not bother anyone. they parked a squad car right in front of the tent and kept coming in the tent and standing around, dressed in bullet proof vest?! They told our vendors the reception is over at 11:30 we paid until 12. When I told them this they proceeded to yell at me.
-while we were setting up about 4 hours before the ceremony I was harrassed by one of the homeowners at beachwalk telling me it was illegal to have a reception there. telling me he was going to make sure it didn;t happen.
Beachwalk is a great place to vacation and rent homes but should not advertise as a wedding venue. Problems between homeowners should not be thrown upon people that pay to use the space for their private events.
