Unfortunately, we are unable to host receptions onsite as we are located in a residential neighborhood with closely monitored sound ordinance. We CAN HOWEVER host small ceremonies, welcome receptions and rehearsal dinners.

The Bayberry Inn of Newport is a charming and newly renovated home and intimate wedding party lodging venue located in Newport, Rhode Island. The small coastal town draws tourists in with its breathtaking views, cultural attractions, and rich history. Built in 1837, this historic building was home to Navy Captain Charles Hunter and his family. The house was constructed with close attention to detail, boasting exquisite features both inside and out. Now under loving small family ownership, the Bayberry has been carefully restored to its former glory. The remodeling process also introduced more contemporary aspects to the inn as well as a brighter seaside color scheme.

Facilities and Capacity

With a maximum capacity of 20 guests indoors for private gatherings, this boutique bed and breakfast is an ideal space for hosting intimate events. A private ceremony in the open garden space can host up to 30 guests. The manicured lawns and cozy seating areas surrounded by trees and flowers will transport guests to an idyllic haven of natural beauty. The inn offers seven luxurious King and Queen suites that feature ensuite hot tubs and elegant decor unique to each room.
