A BREATHTAKING STUDY IN THE GRACE AND GRAND ELEGANCE OF A TIME GONE BY!!
The Barrington House is an opulent and entrancing setting, suitable for a variety of special functions including weddings, receptions, social events, reunion, galas and corporate meetings.
The Barrington House was built circa 1914 and contains some 6000 square feet with 4 guest bedrooms and 5 baths. The Estate was originally home to a dairy farm and included barns and livestock. The landscape suffered tremendous damage in 1954 when Hurricane Hazel struck and again when Hurricane Fran hit in 1996.
In 2003 major renovations to the house and grounds. Colonial columns were added to the front porch, as well as a wrap around veranda and all of the wainscoting and marble found throughout the home and surrounding the fireplaces. Crystal chandeliers, oriental rugs and lavish period furniture also became a part of the new décor.
There have been major additions outside as well including a copper-roofed gazebo, a wishing well, a fountain and an outside den with its own fireplace. The original brick garage with dirt floor has been transformed into a convivial pub-like serving area and christened the "Carriage House." The space now boasts cobblestone floors and a fireplace.

Mother's Day brunch at the Barrington House was fabulous! The house was beautiful and the food was delicious. The shrimp and grits and strawberry spinach salad were our favorites. Even the boys loved the meal and are asking when we can go again!

I was beyond surprised with a graduation celebration on the beautiful grounds of the Barrington. The Barrington and its grounds were both breathtakingly beautiful. As I arrived, I was greeted by the coordinator/planner "Cathy" and whisked away like a princess to enjoy my guest. The food prepared by "Chef Paula" was out of this world incredible. My favorite consist of the pasta bar with homemade sauce and the incredible strawberry, feta- spinach salad. On this day, I felt truly like royalty as I celebrated with family and friends. Cathy and Paula went beyond any expectations to make my day special. It truly was a day to remember!

We had a wonderful Mother's Day lunch at the Barrington House. When we arrived, we were greeted by the hostess and offered water or lemonade. The grounds are gorgeous -- beautiful green grass and surrounded by mature trees. The meal was a buffet lunch and was delicious. The shrimp and grits were a hit. Everything was perfect and we can't wait to enjoy another Sunday lunch at the Barrington House.
Barrington House is such a beautiful place for a wedding. There is ample room for the bridal party to get dressed and the house and the grounds are just to die for.
