Our wedding ceremony was in Arlington, MA and when we were looking for a reception venue, we knew that the Arlington Town Hall is the perfect place for us. Our guests were quite perplexed with the venue choice, but when we showed them pictures of the garden and the auditorium, they were in awe! The rental includes the use of the garden with the reflecting pool as well as the auditorium and the meeting room upstairs. It felt like we had a mansion for our wedding reception without having to spend a lot! We had a nice spring foliage in the garden, which made for lovely wedding photos and a beautiful cocktail hour setting. The auditorium provided an elegant and cozy atmosphere for dinner. It also had plenty of space for dancing afterwards. Patsy, the town hall auditorium coordinator, was very accommodating and responsive. You would have to book early though, because they also use the venue for town events. We highly recommend the Arlington Town Hall - best value for a beautiful indoor AND outdoor wedding venue.Sent on 06/14/2016

We got married at Arlington Town Hall this past Memorial Day weekend and the venue was absolutely gorgeous!! The garden where we held the ceremony was in full bloom and it was spectacular. We held cocktail hour outside before moving into the auditorium for dinner and dancing. This space fit 200 guests very easily for a sit down dinner and an ample dance floor. The room itself has so much historic detail and it gorgeous when all lit up for an event!! We used the Lyons room upstairs for the men to get ready, and the girls got ready in the absolutely dazzling Whittemore-Robbins house! We took photos all over the beautiful grounds, our photographer could not get over how beautiful the setting was! Vicki and Patsy were SO wonderful throughout the entire planning process and day of. They were always available, organized and relaxed and put myself and entire family at ease. All the guests couldn't believe this gem of a venue in the middle of Arlington, there was plenty of parking and easy to get to for everyone. I cannot recommend this beautiful venue highly enough!Sent on 07/25/2015

Located right on Massachusetts Avenue in Arlington, MA about 4 miles from Harvard Square, the Arlington Town Hall is the active home for the Arlington city offices and local functions like Town Meeting, school concerts, etc. However, it's also a gorgeous, historic building (101 years old in 2014) with an incredible reception hall and lovely outdoor gardens. The very reasonable rental fee includes use of all the indoor and outdoor space, and the funds are used to maintain and restore the building which we really liked. Plus the fee is the same whether you're holding a wedding or any other kind of event, which feels nice when the wedding industry seems out to gouge you at every turn. We held our ceremony outside under a tree, our cocktail hour also outside in front of a fountain, and our reception in the auditorium. It was the first and only venue we visited, the first thing we booked for our wedding, and we received so many compliments from our guests about the space. We couldn't have been happier. Plus the space was big enough to allow us flexibility for a great rain plan, which was so reassuring when the forecast was totally up and down the days prior to the wedding.Sent on 06/22/2014
