The Ajax Convention Centre is an ideal banquet hall to celebrate your big day! It is located east of Toronto in the Durham Region and offers innumerable services for your event to be a successful celebration. Thanks to the higher quality of service it provides and the amenities it is built in with, The Ajax Convention Centre has been awarded the 'Reader’s Choice Diamond Award' for premiere banquet facility in the Durham Region.
Facilities and capacity
It is spread over 30,000 sq. ft. land area and it offers a total number of six banquet areas to celebrate your big day. They are:
- Grand ballroom: a 9,000 sq. ft. space that can accommodate approximately 600 people for a wedding.
- Westney, Kingston, and Bayly Ballroom: three 3,000 sq. ft. area rooms that can host up to 180 guests.
- Salem Room: a 1,000 sq. ft. room, ideal for an intimate celebration with up to 60 guests.
- Hardwood room: a 1,200 sq. ft. space that can hold up to 80 people.
Services offered
The Ajax Convention Centre includes great services for your event. The services included in its wedding package are table cloths, napkins & chair covers, centerpiece vases, votive candles, flatware, glassware, event coordinator, lighting and sound, set up and clean up, accessories such as an envelope box and cake server & knife, dinner menu, menu tasting, bridal suite, drinks and beverages and catering services.
Other services
The Ajax Convention Centre also offers its services to commemorate other social events. These include corporate functions, meetings and conventions, trade shows, gala dinners, cocktail parties and private parties which include birthdays, anniversaries, etc.
Location
The Ajax Convention Centre is located in the Durham Region in the east of Toronto. It is situated at the Ontario Highway 401, between the Hilton Garden Inn and Homewood Suites hotels. Its ideal location allows you and your guests to easily access it by private and public transport as well as being conveniently located between two fabulous hotels.

Big, beautiful, Italian wedding!
The ACC was a perfect venue to host our big Italian wedding. From the start, Kim was an incredible point of contact! She was always ready to answer any questions and quick to calm my nerves. The last 2 weeks before the wedding we were in constant communication and whenever things went a little wrong, she was right there to find a solution and never ever panicked. It was extremely reassuring to have her nearby at all times!
The packages included for events are very well priced for everything they include. Payments were extremely flexible to make and Kim worked with us on our payment schedule. We really appreciated not having to do much at all in terms of all the smaller details - while we chose to do our own centrepieces and seating cards, the venue offers couples the option of doing literally everything for you.
The night of our wedding, there were a few things that we would’ve liked to change - all small things. The lighting was not the best & for all our bridal party entrances and first dance, the lights were fully on. It didn’t allow for the right “mood” or vibe to be set. We had to ask the staff to change the lighting which they did no problem. The other thing is the party next to ours was extremely loud during our speeches. I know that’s out of staff’s control but it is a downside of sharing the same divider wall. Their music was blasting and it was heard over our speeches. It would have been nice for staff to maybe pop in next door and ask that the music be turned down briefly.
Our server Tina was amazing though! She was so kind and ready to help. Corrine at one of the bars was also amazing!!! We had all good experiences with our staff and most were incredibly accommodating.
Overall, we had a great experience and we are so glad we chose this venue for our special day! Would definitely recommend for any upcoming events.

Perfect venue!
From the start, Kim made the wedding planning at ACC smooth and easy. Despite the pandemic, communication was never broken and Kim was always an email away with all our questions and answers. ACC was so flexible and accommodating to our vision. Our food and drinks were amazing, and we have no complaints! We were blown away with the attention to detail as well as the service we received from the staff on our wedding day, they always ensured that we were eating and that we always had some drinks. We hope to hold more events at ACC. 100% would definitely recommend!

Perfect start to finish
The convention centre was perfect. The food was amazing, the staff was amazing, everything was perfect. Booking and organizing everything there was painless and all my questions were answered quickly. Could not recommend enough

Our reception
We had a wonderful wedding reception at ajax convention on July.28! Great staff, great food! They even saved most of our wedding cake and a lot of our flowers from the centerpieces for us :) The bartender was wonderful and polite! Everything looked great!

Amazing Venue!
We had our January wedding and reception at the Ajax Convention Centre and were blown away by the service and food. The Ajax Convention Centre has truly mastered the wedding experience and we had nothing but compliments from all the guests. Ainsley, Kim, and the rest of the staff were amazing. So professional and easy to deal with. Everyone loves the venue. Would definitely book with them again.
