Based in NYC, A Taylored Affair offers several coordination options when assisting in the production of your wedding. Whether it be day-to-day coordination or planning the entire soirée from the ground up, each proposal we design is customized to meet your individual needs.
Co-founder, Jennifer Taylor began her career at the Soho House where she garnered a significant breadth of knowledge interfacing daily with some of NYC's most prestigious vendors to create once-in-a-lifetime experiences for her clients. Later, she joined the team at Luxury Attaché, New York's top lifestyle consulting firm, where she arranged events and special perks for clients such as Google, Cartier, Nike, Armani, Fendi Chateau, Madison Square Garden, and the Barclays Center. Jennifer has a unique knack for relating with her clients and vendors which has always allowed her to create strong, lasting relationships.
Despite her background in event planning and hospitality, Jennifer herself was never really the "wedding type". When she got engaged, she had an incredibly hard time with the anticipated wedding cliché's that many brides seemed to yearn for and many guests seemed to yawn over. Her oldest childhood friend (and co-founder, Jacqueline Grabois), came to the rescue and snapped some magical sense into her. Always willing to tackle a challenge, the two of them were determined to plan the most quintessential, authentic NYC wedding. Mission accomplished. They had developed a thirst for sharing their expertise with other brides who wanted to shake things up a bit and let their personalities shine through their big day.
The team at a Taylored Affair take great pride in creating the most memorable affairs that are a true reflection of their client's personalities and style. They believe in a relaxed approach when guiding the planning process, creating a fun experience for everyone involved.

Don't think, just hire Jen, she will be the best thing that ever happened to you.
I am a type A, control freak personality and completely out of character, I was 100% comfortable letting Jen take the reins. She heard everything we wanted and did everything possible to make it all happen. She was always available to us, was the most real person to work with.
What I absolutely loved the most was she didn't shy away from things that were unordinary or a little far fetched, while keeping it glamorous, tasteful and elegant. She makes you think outside of the box and while I was skeptical at first, I am so glad she did because it was worth it!
Her team was phenomenal and she has great vendors to work with! She worked with me and was so great with each of our families it made the planning and the day go so much more smoothly. She is not afraid to jump in and get things moving. She was a dream during dress shopping, she didn't mind my 2 AM texts or emails panicking about some minor detail, and she was a blast to work with!

Jen is the number one best wedding planner - period. We knew we wanted a planner right away, I read a few reviews about Jen online and reached out. She immediately responded, sending me a calendar invite for our first chat (I appreciated that organization!) and I could hear in her voice that she was real, invested, creative and hardworking. And that was just the beginning.
We worked together for 7 months or so, she found us our venue, dance teacher later, videographer, ordered us last minute late night wedding pizzas, helped with gift bags, invites, and ON AND ON. She helped us save $ with creative wedding hacks, always responded to a barrier or stumbling block (like vendors being booked or something not quite coming in the way we'd hoped) with a thoughtful solution. She NEVER let us down. Her mind is quick and she truly wants your wedding to be everything YOU want it to be, so you can give her your honest feedback on things you like, things you don't and she bounces along with you to keep cranking it all out while keeping you calm, and subtly giving you hints of what to think about next without EVER making me feel overwhelmed.
On a human level, Jen is a star, the kind of person you can tell is a solid friend - she really brings that humanity, the fun, the candor and the humanness to the insanity that can be the wedding industry. HIRE HER, you're welcome :)

Jen is the BEST! She can be hands on but also gives you the freedom to decide for yourself what you like and don't like. She's the perfect guide! I hired Jen as full service and it was the best thing I ever did! Where to start? She was with me for a year and a half! She helped us pick our venue, set up appointments both in NYC and Newport, and laid out pricing and information for each one. She traveled to Newport with me and we had an entire day to run around together to find a rehearsal dinner place. We crashed in a hotel room together and did face masks! Jealous yet? The day of the wedding I realized I completely forgot to make my party favors (custom popcorn boxes) and she and her assistant laid out on my condo floor and got it done! I was free to actually enjoy my wedding weekend yall, that's what your money buys you! She called my florist when we were a little disappointed about my chuppah decorations and my florist showed up on the spot and added orchids.. ORCHIDS! Jen does not mess around! She's fun, honest, kind, and most importantly she's good at her job. Planning a wedding is so overwhelming, and the nature of it, as a bride, is just learning as you go. You figure out what you like, dislike, and if you have Jen in your corner, she helps navigate it all for you. She's beyond flexible, and the type of character that's hard to come across in the wedding industry. She has great taste, great connections, and a great heart. Love you Jen! HIRE THIS LADY. DO IT NOW!!!
