Charles Baus and John Green are both well-established Southern California sports photographers that started 760 Weddings in January 2013. We had discussed wedding photography in general on prior occasions and both agreed that it wasn't something that we were interested in at that time. The light turned on for us after watching a very thorough tutorial by established wedding photographers Lee Morris and Patrick Hall of Fstoppers.com, a popular photography blog. After watching all 16 hours of the video, we both realized a few things right away. One, wedding photography is completely different than what we thought it was, which was essentially the lowest form of photography done but guys/gals that had limited talent and creativity that only did it for the money, man were we wrong. Two, it is much more personally rewarding then sports photography. In sports, your images get placed in magazines, newspapers and websites fairly regularly but you rarely have contact with a photo editor looking at your images and explaining why they choose them. With wedding photography, you have the opportunity to capture and create beautiful images on what may be the most important day of someone’s life, then deliver them directly to your client who will have a tremendous connection to them. We both decided right away that this was something we would pursue. We would take our passion for sports photography to the wedding industry. We both already owned tens of thousands of dollars in camera equipment which we know like the back of our hands. All we needed to do was start our business, learn everything we can about wedding photography and put the same amount of work and passion into this as we did our sports photography business's. There is no doubt in our minds that we will be capturing world class wedding imagery in the very near future

Advanced Wedding Photography Lighting Techniques760 Wedding Photography uses advanced lighting techniques to give the images dimensional look. I've seen wedding photographers that charge a lot of money using a single on camera flash to light wedding receptions and have always thought that was a lazy way to earn your money. When we started this business we were already highly skilled sports photographers that have covered many hundreds of top level sporting events and we wanted to make sure we could rival any wedding photographers in the industry in quality. One thing we decided early on was that we had to be using advanced lighting techniques whenever necessary. This would give our images a quality that would not only make our clients happy but also give us a look and style that is not easily duplicated by others. We use a host of lighting techniques to create professional looking images under any circumstances including using LED constant lights and off camera strobes with many different light modifiers at our disposal. As for receptions, after some trail and error we found the best way to light any reception hall was to place strobes around the room and use radio triggers to fire them. This gives the images a very desirable look since light is coming in from multiple angles and creating not only beautifully exposed, well lit images but it also ads a rim light (light from behind) on nearly every shot. It is a lot more work to set up and take down and make sure everything is working properly and set up correctly, but we feel the look it gives our images is worth the effort. Oh, and yes, we also love natural light and use it whenever its available.
Advanced Image Editing TechniquesEvery image we deliver to you will have been professionally edited by us. We use a host of programs to create our unique imagery including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Photoshop Lightroom, Photo Mechanic, Nik Software and On One Software. All of our images are shot in a format known as RAW (which requires special software to read) then edited and converted to JPEG (the standard for viewing images) and delivered to the client. We always keep multiple copies of all the original RAW files so we can always go back and change the look of an image if needed.

John & Charles did an amazing job at my wedding! They were great from the original communication till the day of the wedding. Showed up on time if not early on the day of the wedding and answered all of my questions before the wedding. They were creative with their photographs and took some great shots. They were around the whole time but barely knew they were there. The traditional group shots turned out great but the candids are even more amazing. The video is a great recap of the whole day. I would more than recommend them for your wedding. Thanks guys for capturing our day!
