  The Detroit Zoo

The Detroit Zoo has 270 species and over 6,800 animals. The Detroit Zoo was the first zoo in the country to utilize features of a simulated natural environment as barriers rather than bars. Featuring special exhibits for polar bears, seals, and sea lions; red kangaroos and wallabies; chimps; prairie dogs; and penguins.

  The Renaissance building in Detroit

There are GM cars on display on the bottom floor. This multi-towered skyscraper is the tallest building in Detroit that features an observation tower on the 72nd floor. On a clear day you can see the entire Metro area, plus Canada. There is also a River Walk outside the hotel that lines the river.
