Subject: Hotels (and kids)
Update: We suggest anyone with kids stay at the Monaco, the rooms are much larger and the hotel is much more "kid-friendly". 
Also, when booking your room at The Nines, we suggest getting the city view room, otherwise you will have a room facing the interior of the hotel and the hotel bar (also not a good room for a child, too noisy).

Subject: The Nines
We stayed at The Nines this weekend! So did the NY Knicks! We LOVE this hotel, and highly reccomend it.  However, should you travel with rug rats - you may want to consider the Hotel Monaco - The Nines is a very trendy hotel with "small-ish" rooms - there would not be room for a pack-n-play, unless you upgrade from the Delux King.

There is limited availability on the shuttles to and from the reception.  Please indicate in your RSVP comment field if you plan to rent a car or take a shuttle.

Subject: Parking

It is our reccomendation to rent a car if you plan to make a vacation out of this trip - Portland is very spread out.  Again we will transport you to and from the wedding.  However, parking your rental car can be sort of expensive.  Here is a breakdown by hotel.

The Nines:
The hotel offers onsite valet parking for an overnight fee of $31.00 USD. Parking is not included in the hotel room rate. Self parking is not available through the hotel.

Hotel Monaco:
The hotel offers onsite valet parking for an overnight fee of $31.00 USD. Parking is not included in the hotel room rate. Self parking is not available through the hotel.

Heathman:
The hotel offers valet for $29.00/night - they also have a sel-park garage across the street (pricing to come... check back soon).
